Unsettled cool weather ends April, what does May bring

BOS at the second warmest April so far

I'm surprised by that. How does ORH compare? The past few days have lowered my monthly mean down to 8.6°C or 47.5° but that would only put me at #7th warmest of the past 28 Aprils. I was just noting this morning, compared to normal this month is the "coolest" month I've had since October. If May comes in above normal, it'll be a full year since I had a below normal month.

Down to 42° here - hoping to shave a couple of degrees off this morning's 28° min.

ORH is tied for 5th warmest... 49.7F for the month

Seven straight <32 mornings here. Looks like we'll crack 50 for a high today--the first time in several days.

Yeah impressive cold stretch.

We might be done with snow this season...I know that saddens many of you to know you won't get to hear about northern VT snow, but don't worry, we are due for a September snowstorm in the mountains so it won't be long till we are talking about it again :)

I don't get this torch thing, I would say the past few weeks have been pleasant, far from a torch, maybe we had a couple of warm days but overall great April.

Phil has left the board..but has been tweeting about the seriousness of the onoing drought

Monday-Thursday seems like 70-75 easily for places like BDL/IJD /CEF etc.

With 1-2 days closer to 80

Nope. Numerous posts like this to bump. All Kev has, is a piece of asphalt to verify the KFS and that will be shaky.

This is not a torch pattern right now. Yes, it was a torch month thanks to the first 20 days, but we've been carving into those insane monthly departures every day in the last week. The only reason why some mins have busted the past few days is because winds have stayed strong to limit decoupling. We may get a few warm days here and there over the next couple of weeks, but I think it averages out to near seasonable. Therefore we are not entering May with a torch pattern.
