Glad to know someone's filling in for Pete while hes humping bears out in the lonely wilderness with his long haired friends. We haven't had an update on Willows snow situation in a while, would you mind?

Clinch Leatherwood
challenging forecasts coming up this week. hope we can get the warmth in here for a day or two but overall...troughing looks to dominate. tue/wed could be pretty ugly. You and I have still been spoiled. Even in this cool pattern we've been AOA most of the time with some land winds. Really need the rains though I cannot take much more pollen. CoastalWx
Boston still en fuego, but many other climo stations are dropping with this cool spell. Many are +3-4 or so after being near +5-6. I would think May continues the step down trend for now as well. Still think summer avg overall above normal, but we'll see.

Yeah I think you'd have to have some very good reasons to forecast a below average summer, much less one month below average. Like the past 12-13 consecutive months have averaged above normal in New England climate stations, so persistence forecast would be above normal. It would be nice to get a below normal month before next winter just to prove it's still possible.

A +AO/NAO may be another. Hopefully the sun quiets down in the Fall because I do believe there is a correlation there.

Top recorded gust has been 23mph, but proper siting would undoubtedly have it higher. Pretty strong. WRT RFW, each time I put the saa down in the leaves, I have expect them to start smouldering. weathafella
LOL what? Are coastal folks skinny? Boston is one of America's thinnest cities. Ever try driving here? It's easier to walk... But more than that, you do see people of different skin tones which to me spices things up the way I like it.

Coke Zero here... I am starting to learn I really need a chainsaw and a bobcat to do the clearing I am in the middle of... Tons of smaller birch trees. For the most part no big deal, but anything with a trunk >3" is a problem. My goal is to eventually clear enough in the backyard to put in a pool/patio/firepit, etc.

Even though I am only an hour from Boston, it oogs me out to see the hugely obese people shuffling around out here. The heroin folks are scary too. Good thing is I can easily hid in the woods/trails and see fit people. But when I am in the city, ooo-lala!

For the most part no big deal, but anything with a trunk >3" is a problem. My goal is to eventually clear enough in the backyard to put in a pool/patio/firepit, etc. I don't kno what I'd do without my chainsaw. Freeze in the winters, for one thing. I could use a bobcat as well. So many little trees that I've taken down have little law mower hazards in all the area I'm clearing. My wife is all about putting in the pool--I'm not so keen on the idea. I have floated the idea of a tennis court. Coluld be a nice place to play--tucked back overlooking the hills. Agreed. Even though I am only an hour from Boston, it oogs me out to see the hugely obese people shuffling around out here. The heroin folks are scary too. Good thing is I can easily hid in the woods/trails and see fit people. But when I am in the city, ooo-lala! Come out to western Mass. People are pretty fit. Of course, a disproportionate number are vegetarian it seems. Silly people. Give me some bacon. 51.8/
