CoastalWx
The main point was I don't see any wet, cold days/periods at all..Mostly dry with scattered showers during fropas So they'll be no cold damp days next week at all?
CoastalWx
challenging forecasts coming up this week. hope we can get the warmth in here for a day or two but overall...troughing looks to dominate. tue/wed could be pretty ugly. Yeah what a backtrack for the KFS.
CoastalWx
Wow parts of orchards in NY state lost their fruit crops. Still have no clue why BOX is so stubborn with climo and freeze watches for SNH.
Tropopause_Fold
Yeah what a backtrack for the KFS. yeah i felt a couple days ago that we might get one really torchy day mid/late week but i'm not really sold there anymore. hopefully we do. lots of low level E flow showing up now and on each new set of runs you can see that boundary getting more stubborn as everything to our Northeast is starting to get compressed SW. I thought the same, but the last couple of days started changing its tune a bit. I wouldn't mind a little more rain, but don't want low 50s for highs. This time of year its tough to avoid the combo. Damage In Tolland
So they'll be no cold damp days next week at all? Well if 55-60 is your def of a cold day, them maybe we have one on Tuesday though most if not all that rain misses us to south. Wed- fri look beautiful inland
Mr Torchey
What a beautiful morning cobalt blue skies and light winds. Was just outside and the soil is starting to dry out thanks to lower dp's hard to believe its been a week since we got that rain, the pinwheel of pain did not deliver the goods and the XXX unsettled days after days failed miserably. We need rain, looks dry and seasonable with a few above normal days, this time of year that equates to fantastic weather, its late April in SNE not June 20th. This year long stretch of fire has really distorted views on what reality is. Time to garden.

Wed- fri look beautiful inland That's different than the 75-80 you had every day. It's definitely possible some of the rain misses south and might not come until bigger push of warm later in the week. Hopefully the front is nearby and not south at that point. Mr Torchey
2001 keeps showing up in analogs, good to see Donny Baseball going normal to slightly above for the east coast through the first half of May that should yield some great springtime conditions. Tropopause_Fold
this could be one of those new england weeks with some days featuring a very big spread in temps. the CT/NYC contingent could be fine while other areas are quite chilly at times. Tropopause_Fold
hopefully we can get some rain out of the upcoming pattern...doesn't necessarily look "dry" but seems we've been striking out a lot so not sure.
Tropopause_Fold
good thing is...even if the pattern is cooler overall...by this time of year all you need is sunshine. if you avoid the disaster clouds/drizzle pattern, doesn't matter much. like this weekend - pretty chilly airmass but really, not that bad out there in the sun. BDL was a -6 on the daytime temp but 60 vs 66 with sunshine is no big deal.

mahk_webstah
Wow parts of orchards in NY state lost their fruit crops. Still have no clue why BOX is so stubborn with climo and freeze watches for SNH. very concerned here. our friends have a peach and apple orchard. The peaches should make it because they've already blossomed and pollinated. The apples though are vulnerable...in full bloom. Hoping there's no disaster...If we could just get the wind to stay up. Frost here last night but nothing too bad.

powderfreak
Great point Phil, feels really nice out here today, sun is strong and winds are light so far. The sun makes a huge difference...yesterday you could hang out in the snow on the mountain tossing back some cold ones, in a t-shirt thanks to the sun even though temps were only upper 30s. Once you went in the shade though it actually felt like 37F...but in the sun it might as well have been 55F.

powderfreak
You'll be colder than me on Tuesday most likely. No...Tolland massif is always warmer and nicer from April 1 through October 15, then it's always colder and snowier than you between that time.
