Its hard to tell, but I'd say we got 2 or 3 inches overnight. Some pretty large trees down in my neighborhood and all the rest of them are sagging significantly. Luckily things are starting to melt quick. We were on the cusp of a real tree disaster here....phewwww, close call.

I think some of you guys are being weenies. While the amounts may have lowered especially in lower elevations, this was ALWAYS dependent on getting the band to set up. I know many have said that. It's also why we have ranges so perhaps the lower end will verify. When you live and die by the deformation band..you mostly die. That's usually just a narrow area that gets into the goods. This will continue to mostly be a high elevation event and still looks to hit the high terrain near BFD and OLE pretty hard. Anomalous events have busts all around and it makes it difficult to forecast. I know I specifically even said BUF has to get that heavy band because if it's like 1-2SM -SN..it will not do much.

I know when you see all this QPF you get excited, but if 1" is spaced out in 24hrs...that means maybe 0.25" every 6hrs. That's not going to do much in terms of heavy snow. So, you try to diagnose other things like where the best banding will be. Still looks like BUF and points south will get into it, but you are also fighting daytime insolation. Makes it tough for the low spots, but yeah this possibly could be a little disappointing for lower elevations. But give it a chance and see what happens. The band is setting up now.

Grass quickly turning white here now. Starting to accumulate on branches and coming down heavier now.
