Logan11
Looks like they could get dumped on ...on the Allegany Plateau of southwest NY (well south of ROC). My cousins live there and I'm making my annual Spring pilgrimage to get some scotch pine and norway spruce saplings in a couple weeks. Interior mtns of PA might have decent snow. Summer heading into Nino, but perhaps +NAO it seems. Would think probably nrn tier of US still warmer than nornal but not like the past 2 summers. Brian5671
Don S has a good point.. With no cold air in the arctic and no cold air in canada..it really won't/can't be that cool. I'd look for normal to slightly above as we round out the month some others have been saying that too....

CoastalWx
Why is that unbelievable? Improbable, yes, but it happens every now and then... I meant "unbelievable" more in the sense of incredible...like tongue and cheek. Also the fact that some areas may start and end the season with snow on leafed out trees. Just a comment on the overall setup.
CoastalWx
This time of year doesn't matter much when it comes to Canada. Snowpack is gone from much of southern canada normally. If we are going to be cold, it's more from cutoff flow from the north and northeast.

CoastalWx
Yeah, tru dat. Did western NY/PA get hit in October? I know eastern areas did... No not like ern areas. They got some snow into central PA and NY. Actually now that I think about it, this may get areas that saw nothing from that storm. But in all honestly, both the euro and GFS nail western NY and PA right now.
