MN Transplant
We kind of get dry slotted late Sunday. Low hugs the coast Yeah, I saw that later on wunderground. That would be unfortunate. Especially since actual dry slots seems to often be more pronounced than modeled ones. NAM thru 42 lays down a good amount of precip along the hung up front. 1"+ from N. Maryland up through Philly. Ian
Everything seems to favor just east and I'm not going against that but I'd be not surprised at all if the heavier band rides 95.

jonjon
If the 6z NAM is accurate, its gonna be one humdinger of a snowstorm out here! Even the GFS has us around a foot. It'll be snowing sideways on Monday with crazy winds.

It'll be snowing sideways on Monday with crazy winds. AFD from Charleston HOWEVER...WARMER SFC TEMPERATURES OVER THE LOWLANDS WILL KEEP ANY PCPN AS LIQUID...AND MIXED WITH SNOW OVER THE WESTERN SLOPES...AND/OR ALL SNOW HIGHEST ELEVATIONS NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. IN ADDITION...GROUNDS ACROSS MOST PARTS OF WV WILL REMAIN SUBSTANTIALLY WARM...MAKING SNOWFALL TO MELT UPON CONTACT SUNDAY NIGHT. PERHAPS ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE MORE EVIDENT ON TREES...OTHER SURFACES AND GREEN VEGETATION...CAPABLE TO PRODUCE TREE DAMAGES BY HEAVY WET SNOW. HAVE CODED AT LEAST 4.7 INCHES OF SNOW OVER SNOWSHOE AND HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF RANDOLPH AND POCAHONTAS COUNTIES ACCOUNTING FOR SOME MELTING AND DISPLACING OF PCPN FURTHER NORTH THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. NEVERTHELESS...WET SNOW COULD COVER ROADS AT TIMES OVER THE MOUNTAIN COUNTIES BY MONDAY MORNING...EXTENDING THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS ON THESE AREAS. ACCUMULATION WILL GREATLY DEPEND ON THE SURFACE LOW TRACK...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IF THE LOW TRACKS FARTHER WEST.

Ian
There seems to be a a lot of board wide discussion of the NAM/SREF without mention that they have almost no credibiity, are for entertainment value only and aren't meant to be taken seriously.... Agreed. Tho SREF isn't bad and the NAM might be able to pick up smaller scale banding. 2-3" not in the bank tho..
