Some people may say SPC messed up today, but anyone out there today felt the energy which was at hand. I think we got lucky. Especially Wichita. Staying at the Hyatt here downtown and when the sirens went off people did not take it seriously. I went to the front desk to tell the girl that this was serious, and people were going outside to look with nobody stopping them at first. There was an Air Force banquet here and it ended just as the sirens went off and the majority of them just left. It could have been very bad. The staff did get control and get people to shelter eventually though.

Interesting text on the severe warned line in OK.

AT TIMES LOCAL SECTIONS OF THIS LINE MAY PRODUCE VERY STRONG WIND GUSTS OVER 80

MPH. THESE PHENOMENA WILL BE BRIEF BUT WILL OCCASIONALLY OCCUR ON THE LEADING

EDGE OF THIS LONG LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS.

I ended up filming 4 to 5 tornadoes this afternoon in Northern Oklahoma during the beginning of what became the Wichita, KS Supercell. I got amazing video of a multi-vortex that formed a mile to my northwest and tracked in the field just to my north. I'm working on the video and hope to have it up soon, but have a feeling I may be interrupted here in OKC before too long.

The man on WIBW TV in Topeka just mentioned the rotation in Clay County that has no warnings.

Severe T-storm warning finally for that cell.

here is a link to my videos today (might want to turn down your sound or turn it off) -no cussing or anything, just noise from the wind

You lucky dog, you. I think that's better than anything I've seen on my ~100 chases over the past seven years. Funny how often it works out that way.

Congrats -- what a great catch.

As for me, I probably performed below-average for the day, based on all the incredible images and video flooding in. All my tornadoes were from the daytime tail-end Charlie, which I got on near Cherokee. Photogenic twins west of town, then a close intercept of the fat stovepipe near Manchester right at dark. Dropped it before it went into the ICT area because I rarely care for night chasing, but particularly where metro-area traffic is involved.

Great video! Wow i would love to take a vacation and go storm chasing some time in my life.

I originally asked for yesterday and today off work about a month ago (to go to nebraska spring game, which was cancelled today, with the severe threat, i was going to blow off the game and go chasing, which i did and it paid off )

Thanks. I told my mom (who was with me all day chasing fwiw) that i would only give myself a 60% chance of seeing a tornado, she told me no, more like 80-90% lol 3 tornadoes, not a bad day at all

really feel like the clay center KS cell is about to produce a significant tornado.

It looks pretty intense!

Tennis ball sized hail is nothing to sneeze at!

Ya wow well great videos and maybe i can get up with soemone who chases out there and make a trip out one spring. This has been an impressive day for me. Seeing all these tornadic cells and still seeing the radar get lit up.
