turtlehurricane
Old one occluded, you can see the new one ramping up just east of Clearwater. Yeah, the new radar image makes that clear. New mesovort probably gonna form around Conway Springs.
ICEHOCEY77
Looks like if it holds together it'll pass between KICT and downtown Wichita. Showing some signs of cycling.
wxmeddler
I can't tell what's going on. Theres multiple areas of slight rotation. Either it dies momentarily or it reforms and we got a big problem on our hands.
Billabong
Anyone read anything about NWS Wichita taking shelter? They're going to have to bug out very shortly. I'm sure their 1st back-up office (Topeka) is ready to take over shortly.
Kevin Askew
Hard to get a return on the storm so close to site but I would say safe bet it is cycling and will become very intense very quickly upon arrival at Wichita

Either it dies momentarily or it reforms and we got a big problem on our hands. Old mesovortex got cutoff by its own RFD (occlusion) so the updraft reformed to the south. Given the environment that updraft will quickly become a tornadic mesovortex. The way it reformed puts Wichita even closer to the path unfortunately. EquusStorm
Right now the Wichita cell reminds me a lot of what the Greensburg cell looked like when it was cycling; I expect another circulation to rapidly develop to the SE of the one that appears to have weakened, within the next couple minutes. With any luck that'll push it just east of downtown, but it'as gonna be too close to call. Stay safe all.

Bryan Wood
It's underground isn't it? Could be exposed to falling beams, etc. Open arena floors are bad places to be. Just look at the Henryville HS security video.
