CT Rain
Couldn't do 90 at BDL for Monday. BL flow looks too SW now. If it was more WSW I'd be more bullish.
powderfreak
Dude give up on the cutoffs . We haven't had one all spring What was that thing that sat up in northern Maine and southern Canada all last week?
CoastalWx
What was that thing that sat up in northern Maine and southern Canada all last week? I know..lol, but he's thinking something that stalls south of us.
powderfreak
Another winning New England day... Now that the sun and warmth has hit this snow though, its still not going anywhere soon. 4" of liquid in 30" of snow has some staying power, haha. Just moving around in this stuff without skis on is very slow going, post-holing up to your hip in cement. I wanted to get on the deck for a view and it turned out to be quite the struggle up the stairs. I found a plastic chair hidden under the new snow, too (you can see its back). The plowed work roads have some impressive road cuts that get to 5-7 feet deep. Where was all this snow a month ago?
powderfreak
I know..lol, but he's thinking something that stalls south of us. Ahhh ok... yeah I was going to say haven't there been a couple of them milling around the region over the past few weeks? But yeah, not sitting off Cape Cod if that's what he's thinking. Typhoon Tip
I saw one meso discussion that mentioned some kind of extra double top secret probation watch... I think went, "...SPECIAL EMERGENCY THREAT WATCH" - I didn't know they broke em down any further. Jesus- could we get through this whole thing without a drop of rain? HoarfrostHubb
Well another cutoff is progged nearby again in about 7-8 days. We'll have to see if the KFS holds. Ride the KFS until it fails...

dendrite
Disaster now next weekend on the euro. Snow for the higher terrain of NNE and raw 30s/40s and rain for CNE. Luckily the ens aren't nearly as bad since they have the boundary a little further north.
dendrite
The GFS looks dismal as well on Saturday.
Damage In Tolland
Euro and Euro ensembles both had a major coastal with inches of rain this upcoming week. How'd that work out? Go dry or go home
dendrite
I like how a couple dry months somehow now influence synoptic patterns.

I would gladly trade a rainy weekend for some rain, if that makes any sense.

ski MRG
Also looks like Kevin's end of April torch will be very muted. No surprise. A few days in the 70's will be bad enough. I can't wait to get the hell out of Dodge even if it's just for a couple of weeks.
CT Rain
What do you think for BDL tomorrow? I have 77 today which I think will bust. Beast of an MCS spoils afternoon sun. I have 88. Can't pull the trigger on a record (90) without winds greater than 250.
