SmokeEater
This is how serious SPC is taking tomorrow's event. AllisonHouse LLC I'll forego the usual "Big outbreak coming tomorrow, you need to get AllisonHouse" advertisement and just say this: We've learned SPC will have a fully staffed, fully operational backup office working in tandem at Scott Air Force Base near East St. Louis, IL in the event the Norman, OK main office has to evacuate, or gets hit by a tornado. SouthernNJ
The dangerous storm is now right over I-44, just west of Newcastle. Likely a nightmare travelling in that area.
Memphis Weather
The right-mover is looking better on all the area dopplers. Still a bit marginal but wouldn't be surprised to see a TOR shortly depending on ground reports.
ICEHOCEY77
Base velocity looks good but SR isn't showing much of anything, last scan brought a tad back. Not really that pronounced a lowering on any of the cams

Superstorm93
This is going to be a close call for Norman, helicopter still shows no tornado but that could change quickly with that sort of structure. It also could be obscured by rain, this is a wet cell. Is there a link to the helicopter stream?
Memphis Weather
The 2042z scan on KOUN testbed would suggest a funnel at least imminent...though its trying to get cut off by the RFD which may keep the threat brief.

Memphis Weather
Cell appears to be going outflow dominant for the moment. Hail/wind the big concern coming into Norman/I-35 area shortly.
Memphis Weather
60mph storm-relative winds a couple hundred feet off the ground coming right towards the NWC. Should be interesting to see obs.
SouthernNJ
The storm's appearance so far has out-performed its severity. Only one report (Quarter size hail near I-44 and Newcastle) has been received, likely suggesting the storm's elevated nature and meso.
Memphis Weather
Base of the storm definitely rotating but nothing appears imminent. Might still get a weak/brief tornado but not the most likely threat.

Are they just increasing staffing for the day? Usually once or twice a year you can count on SPC transferring to Scott because of a storm incoming.
