And generally light, 5-10 knots with an increase Sunday night. Light winds plus higher dew points and humidity should keep the fire risk at a minimal after Friday. These fires are going to become more commonplace as time progresses. The ground is a tinderbox. We need rain and very soon. NJDEP is about to declare a drought watch. My friend at the OEM office here claims the state may actually step up to an emergency due to all these fires. Reservoir levels are lower than they should be for this time of year.
