famartin
I've noticed this several times now, and just now with a topic that *I myself started*. After a while with no replies, a topic will automatically change to "unfollowed" status so that you will no longer get e-mail updates when a new reply comes about. Sometimes this makes sense, sometimes not. The snowfall thread in the NYC subforum is a prime example of that. I *started* it, but didn't get any e-mails the other day when someone added two replies after several weeks of inactivity. When I browsed the subforum and noticed, I clicked on the topic and found that I had to click the "follow" button... on my own topic!
Kevin W
Happens to me too, also in my own thread. I just gave up on it. Scott was looking into this a while back. Not sure how that's going.

I'm pretty sure that the larger priority is to fix the issue in that "donating" members can still see advertising.
famartin
I'm pretty sure that the larger priority is to fix the issue in that "donating" members can still see advertising. Really? I had thought that was weird but honestly, I pay it no mind. It doesn't affect my usage of the board. This issue, on the other hand, does.

eekuasepinniW
In previous versions, topic follows were hard coded to be pruned after 7 days without a post. It's configurable now so I set it to 180 days.

Kevin W
Still works like crap. All is fine until there are replies. Then I have to follow again.
eekuasepinniW
I double checked and it's still set to auto-prune followers only if it's been more than 180 days without a reply. If it still doesn't work, sadly there isn't much I can do about it.
