The grass on the fairways at Bowie Golf Course already look burned out. They allowed me to hit long as the ball really rolled. It sure felt like 90.

I remember Bowie (then Belair) when grass was hard to come by. Dirt fairways really gave a good roll. 250 yard ground balls were not uncommon!

It was a gorgeous day for the Shuttle Discovery landing. everyone was out there near the airport and other locations checking it out.

I have a thread in OT with more pics, these are two of my favorite ones I got today

The shuttle discovery on the 747 and a NASA T 38 plane flying escort with them

Close up of the Discovery on the 747

The first fly by this morning, taken from inside the main terminal, the windows blurred the photo as it flew near the old ATC tower at IAD

It was almost like that on Monday. The last couple of years, the course has been in decent shape especially this time of year. This year, the fairways already are brown.

Nice shots! I have a bunch of prints from the '85 when the Enterprise came to Dulles. That was also pretty cool.

With all due respect to everyone, does anyone see something like this as a waste of $$? I feel like this last flight cash could have been spent better elsewhere.

I didn't really care about it I only saw the pictures here

And yet here you are posting this uninformed garbage:
