jonjon
Ended up with about 2" of snow putting us at just over 90" for the season. I was hoping never to see a sub 100" season again. Oh well.

Yep, some in my neighborhood go crazy on the lawn watering...actually the NWS guy across the street put in an underground lawn irrigation sysytem last fall. Maybe he foresaw the spring drought coming..lol. I gave the rhodendendrons and azaleas a good soaking on Friday as they are about ready to flower and didn't look so hot. My hydrangea's new growth was wilting pretty bad too. I'm going to give them another shot today. I don't want to depend on the chance of storms tomorrow. yoda
Perhaps maybe finally.... this weekend? THE NEXT SYSTEM LOOKS TO AFFECT THE MID ATLANTIC FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. THE POSITION OF THE NEGATIVE SWINGING TROUGH FROM THE N-CNTRL CONUS WITH SFC LOW DEVELOPMENT COULD ENABLE A SEVERE WEATHER SETUP. THE 06/12Z GFS ARE BOTH FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE WEATHER...WHILE THE ECMWF IS LESS MERIDIONAL WITH A LOWER SEVERE THREAT. WILL HAVE TO MONITOR THIS WEEKEND POTENTIAL EVENT. CranberryWX
Slight risk area covers most of WV today, mainly for wind. Timing is good far any storms out ahead of the front coming through mid afternoon. Hopefully we get some rain out of this. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV 646 AM EDT MON APR 16 2012 ...ELECTED TO KNOCK DOWN POPS SOME BUT NOT DOWN TO WHAT MDLS SUGGEST. THINKING OF MORE ISO OR SCT CONCERNING COVERAGE WITH GREATEST COVERAGE ALONG AND WEST OF OH RVR WITH SUBSEQUENT WEAKENING TOWARD MTNS. MDL QPF LOOKS MEAGER TO SAY THE LEAST GIVEN LACK OF COVERAGE AND PROGRESSIVE NATURE. WHAT CONVECTION THAT DOES FORM WILL HAVE TO BE WATCHED FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AS SPC CONT TO PAINT MUCH OF CWA IN SLIGHT RISK....

mappy
It will just surge again on the 4th day. As long as it is cooler outside and I can keep the windows closed.
