It's too far east yet on the GFS. Let's hope the Euro pulls the trough back a bit further.

I like snow threats in April, but a trough that just keeps us chilly with nw northwest flow doesn't really seem worth it.

In later May/June/July I love any NW flow we can get because I'm a heat hater.

Yuck, That's ugly, days and days of dreary weather

You want a pitiful #... Hunter Mountain had 46 inches for their entire winter season. Two years ago they had 72 inches in that one several day period of late February.
Ouch. That's really bad for them. I skied there a few times this Winter, fortunately they light the place up with snowmaking so even without much help from mother nature conditions were decent but some of the steepest terrain was rock ski suitable only.

We recorded 63.1" at Hunter this season. The Mountain tends to skip over a lot of 0.5 - 1.0" events and call them dustings...Also, they did not report the 1.4" from Saturday morning since the Mountain is closed.

Someone confirm but a swarm of supercells through northern TX and an impressive hook just went right through downtown Dallas -

Tornado just sw of KDFW. TWC video was beyond incredible. I saw tractor trailers flying at least 100ft in the air. Just incredible.

26F/20

Not bad

It actually did get a bit chilly down here in Westchester, 35.6F low at the Scarsdale Wunderground station and patches of frost on the way to work (I do substitute teaching during our Hampshire Country School vacations both to stay in touch colleagues and students, as well as enjoy the $100/day that the school I works for pays for subs, which I don't think is too bad given the lack of effort required.) After this two-week stint here ends, I'll be returning to Dobbs Ferry on June 11th semi-permanently since I've accepted a teaching fellowship with NYC Public Schools. I have two months of training 6/11-8/3, and will start teaching full time at a high-need public school, probably in the Bronx in September.

In any case, glorious today in Westchester...64.3/29 and still a little bit brisk. I went for a run yesterday with our new Labrador Retriever, and it was much colder. Just a beautiful, low-humidity airmass in place this week.
