ski MRG
32 here at 2k with a cold wind blowing. LL And Blizz keep forecasting hot and humid conditions so I keep wearing shorts and sandals to work. Man. Kinda chilly. Is it bad when your feet turn blue?

What a complete calendar year failure for you, warm summer, hot fall, worst winter ever followed by a historically warm March with another torch on the horizon. Lets set something up for the first week of May, I will get a 4th, you can bring cougarman.

CoastalWx
Now hold on Johnny...you posted earlier this week that next week looked wet and the dry pattern wouldn't last..later in the week you started saying trough might be too far east..but you had initially said pattern could get wet...In fact i made a post early one morning "dry begets dry" and you weenied me. I said the pattern could be wetter than what we've seen....especially after next week when I said the risk is cold and dry. There's about 20 posts stating that. CT Rain
I wonder if we can go from wettest year on record to driest year on record back to back 29.45" at BDL in 1965 31.69" in 1980
CoastalWx
When the torch does try to come back, that may be the best shot for rain. Usually with these big warm pushes you'll get some rain. Lows just aren't developing close enough.
CT Rain
29.45" at BDL in 1965 31.69" in 1980 And the 1965 followed 34.55" in 1964. NW CT climate division had 30 straight months of severe to extreme drought.

Brian5671
well, we've had roughly 9-10 yrs of mostly above normal rain years....wonder if we're starting to reverse course...4-5 months is a bit short to say it's a trend.

There's at least one more major trough for you to get through Sunny. There could easily be. a monster that springs forth. Beware the ides of April. Might have to be the second week as I get back the first week. It'll take that long for the new snow to melt anyway.

HoarfrostHubb
ORH +1.1F through the first 5 days -0.51" precip-wise No big precip in sight, but I don't think we go much higher in the temp dept for a few days at least (for ORH area) Cool nights, normal to slightly above normal highs. Moderate warm up in the long range?
HoarfrostHubb
April will make month 14 in a row, at what point can I spike it? Big Big winter incoming next year?? Without that tiny -0.1 in June for ORH, they would be at 12 months above there Just sickening

N. OF PIKE
i thought this pattern was gonna be difficult for models to get a hold on it seems some would argue next week's dryness is a done deal today after significant concerns about a coastal next week was there enough change in models to alleviate storm concerns? Collinsville
And the 1965 followed 34.55" in 1964. I haven't been below 50" of rain since 2002. I can't even imagine what one year of low 30's would be like let alone two in a row.
tamarack
I have forgotten what clouds look like, not a single one in the sky today. Come up here to refresh your memory. Cloudy yesterday, we'll get peeks of sun today/tomorrow, then under the gray until Thursday or beyond. (And, unfortunately, scant qpf. Morning gfs has us with maybe 1/4" thru Friday - would get the leaf litter wet but little else.)
