Boredom/Banter thread..Nothing but normal to slightly above

Damage In Tolland

Recommended Posts

I'm a little surprised I've never gotten a ticket for breach of peace...when it's cold/windy I just swear really loudly while walking.

Well I hate wind not associated with storms. I love wind with snow events and t'storms but not just alone.

I love all kinds of wind...and spiders.

Sweet little upslope event taking place in the usual places tonight (ie. Greens north of I-89)

We'll take precipitation anyway we can get it at this point. I'm not in town right now, but am hearing its snow above 1,200ft. Several inches possible tonight in the higher els, dusting/coating down in the village maybe.

Even in a boring weather pattern, there's always something to track in the upslope region. However I'm down in Albany, NY right now remembering how boring it is to live in a place where clouds and moisture come to die... I much prefer the spot that produces its own moisture and precip events.

You can't help but get a little smile going with a low like that on the ensemble. The danger is obviously having the low stay weak and not being able to pull back moisture west with such a n-s trough...but that thing could blow up and move NNW.

Man, this year has really killed everyone. It's April 5 tomorrow and extended range is mid April and beyond. It's nice looking at some model porn, but I wonder how long it'll take people to realize that this torch is kicking our azzes.

I try to look at stuff from both ends, but man even the below average days are -2 or -4 mixed in with +5 to +10 lol Mid april systems are cool to look at, but at the end of the day, we all know its going to end up a 40F sheet fest with maybe Peru,MA getting a few inches and 32F even if we can get that trough axis a bit farther west.

April blows.

Meanwhile, nice night here... 47/30 and partly cloudy.

Why aren't you at LSC?

Its probably snowing up there right now. Gravy train is rocking the Greens tonight.

I would take 2" of slop over 54F and sunny any day...the latter is dead boring to me. In my view, we have 6 months of outdoor weather coming up so its not like I need to try and steal or savor nice days right now.

But I certainly know not everyone feels that way.

Home on my Spring break until 4/8, that's why I've been absent from the NNE thread pretty much lol yeah it may be spitting at LSC but nothing substantial I don't think, currently 35/28 up there. Snow level probably at like 1500ft in the NEK.

I do agree that we have a lot of the same ahead...sunny, warm, humid,etc...but I guess I'm ready for a change of pace. Tracking storms is effin awesome obviously, but after a dead ratter winter full of let down I guess 85/73 has never sounded so appealing.

I love the MET aspect of every season and threat no matter what, so that's probably the only thing in my brain that is screaming snowstorm right now.

A buddy confirmed snow level around 1200ft and Montpelier/KMPV at 1,200ft was also reporting -SN for a bit. Probably depends on precipitation intensity. And during this boring period of weather, any precip or flakes or "event" is substantial, lol.

All I know is that I wish the ORH hills upsloped or somewhere in SNE produced its own weather on a regular basis... then this forum would be a lot less boring during these periods. Or at least the northern Greens upslope was more widespread as every couple of days there's some event (even if minor) to track, and would take care of these boring periods. Just think if it did this in Worcester County... we'd be getting like 5 posts a minute if there was steady showers developing over the ORH Hills and even a chance of snow mixing down to 1,000ft right now.

I can't even say the Berks because even if the Berks get an event there no one cares if it doesn't happen further east... it would have to be the Worcester Hills to captivate the coastal plain crowd too, so they need to grow like 2-3,000ft.

If these hills were 3,000 feet, we'd probably average about 200" of snow per year.

Agree completely.... May, June, July, August, September, October ...even November in some years ...all mild months. How much warm weather do they need? Why don't they live down in Virginia with JI then? LOL

I had wet flurries earlier Wednesday evening at 40F ..here west of ALB at 1k feet. Obviously quite cold not very far above. Snow accumulations in the southern Dacks at Speculator when that squally action came through.

Worcester is western mass to most here. I just think of it as the elevated CP. We've had 40+" fall along the crest and they don't care. This map comes right out of a Boston public school texrbook.

Now GC is the murder Capitol

When did your snowpack finally melt?

The last known patch of naturally occuring snow that I know of here burned off about 10 days ago. I'll have to look at my pics to get an accurate date. I try to forget traumatic events in my life, thanks for ripping open a wound that was just starting to heal.
