Stormlover74
Right now Saturday looks ok, at least on the GFS. It would be mostly a Sunday night into Monday event, lingering into Tuesday I hope this weekend isn't a total washout. We need it but why on the weekend. Snow_Miser
Lets hope the DGEX is right. Big time rainstorm No thanks, I'd rather not have rain with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, even if we are in a drought.

Snow_Miser
Love this music, reminds me of how it feels outside today. Reminds me of when I was 9 years old and I'd always listen to this while playing RCT3.
Snow_Miser
OT but RIP to the fdny FF who lost his life while fighting a Brooklyn fire, very sad My condolences go to his family. Let's hope this weekend brings some substantial rains, and hopefully the storm doesn't vanish into thin air like the saturday night "rain" and the mid week "rain" did. Today was awesome, but i'd sacrifice one day for rain. Everything needs a good cleansing, including my car hahah
SnoSki14
Some notes about this past March. Despite the lower 48 having easily the warmest March on record, globally; it was relatively cooler this past March than we've seen in the past few years. Not even a top 10 warmest month globally, the U.S. obviously had the greatest positive global anomaly, which really skewed the global temperatures in March. ag3
Got home and have my AC pumped in my apartment. Indoor temp was 82 degrees when I got here. Need my apartment at 70-73 to feel comfortable. Down to 76 degrees now with an hour of AC.

SnoSki14
What's your point? I was making more of a statement than a point but I guess my point would be that global warming enthusiasts should look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on one month/one region and assume our globe is in chaos mode. I also have questions as to why our region has specifically been so warm when other places have not, is it just perfect timing/the right setup or what? Isotherm
For reference -- current global temp anomaly. Only very slightly above normal. Eastern US clearly one of the warmer regions on the globe right now (with respect to normal):

dbc
The saddest sight on that map is how above normal the entire arctic/north pole appears. At least the Antarctic is mainly below. For reference -- current global temp anomaly. Only very slightly above normal. Eastern US clearly one of the warmer regions on the globe right now (with respect to normal): The saddest sight on that map is how above normal the entire arctic/north pole and Greenland appear including Alaska and Extreme Northeastern Russia (actually most of Russia). At least the Antarctic is mainly below normal w/ few hot spots.
