CoastalWx
ginx's freezing march day for me yielded a +10 , just another well above normal day in the 13 months of fire and counting....ho hum. Well like I said to you a few times, the (-) departures will mostly be from high temps..especially up this way. Of course clouds and win will keep temps up. Besides, that tropical pit was always supposed to be warmest.
CT Rain
Technically yes..but their climo is not. It's like NYC..and is not part of our bet You're ridiculous. They are clearly part of SNE. With that argument ACK or GON or UUU wouldn't be part of SNE either now??
CoastalWx
Technically yes..but their climo is not. It's like NYC..and is not part of our bet Doesn't matter. If you win because BDR got snow and no other 4 climo sites did, then there is a heavy heavy * on your win.

ORH_wxman
BDR is probably going to be too warm anyway.
CoastalWx
So if someone got >2.0" in this storm and it happened to be in between climo sites (which easily could happen), Kevin is saying it doesn't count?
Damage In Tolland
You're ridiculous. They are clearly part of SNE. With that argument ACK or GON or UUU wouldn't be part of SNE either now?? CT Rain
I think most if not everyone here would agree..BDR climate is NYC That's such a dumb argument... but you also fail to understand that most places in SNE (where people live) have relatively mild climates compared to your personal glacier. ORH_wxman
I would feel good if DXR was an official climo site, but too bad it isn't.
CT Rain
Why is it dumb? Is BDR closer to NYC or BDL? BOS is closer to New Hampshire than BDL. Guess that means BOS is really NNE climo.
ski MRG
Weaseling out already. He always has a loophole ready. BTW, I'm glad you cheer for Stowe and the rest of us Highlanders. It's nice to know you care. After a Winter with only 10" of snow I could understand if you were bitter but you display such poise instead.
Damage In Tolland
I would feel good if DXR was an official climo site, but too bad it isn't. I will gladly pay up if any site in SNE gets 2+ inches..but just to clarify..the original bet was for all 4 climo sites..but again..I will pay no matter who gets it

CT Rain
Yes the bet was the 4 climo sites...if they don't get it, I lose. So the 4 climo sites in BOX's forecast area. Kevin should be more clear next time because there are actually 5 first order climo sites in SNE.
Ginx snewx
Sunlight and soil temperature. Two biggest factors right there. Sunlight obviously isn't going to change no matter what the weather does as the sun angle is the same from year to year. Soil temperature could get them to go a lot earlier than normal depending on the species. But of course it all ends up "happening" pretty close to the same date each year due to the sun angle not changing from year to year. I am no expert but that was the easiest bet I ever made based on a little knowledge.
