PottercountyWXobserver
Training? Ya, it is light and nothing serious, but these showers are moving practically S-N. I'm hoping they hold together and reach to me, we really need the rain.

PottercountyWXobserver
Ah ok, wasn't sure if you mistyped raining or if it was a technical term that I was unaware of. Lol nah you're fine. Its not to technical, all training means is a slow moving storm or storms tracking over the same areas. But in this case, the showers are on the light side, so nothing spectacular. The pattern has been so boring, this is the most excitement weather wise for the area in a while, well besides the stupid heat.

Got the trial version of gr level 3 and want to put it to the test (without watching stuff hundreds of miles away), and the best we've gotten lately is scattered showers. MAG5035
Thanks MAG. I just had a lone hen yelping right AT THE FRONT DOOR. Started hearing all this ruckus below my bedroom window and i looked out and there this was right on the front porch. Ran to one of the downstairs windows to try to sneak a picture but by the time I snapped the pic she started to spook a bit and run into the woods.. but it was in the planter. I just need a place a little more remote and inland. Last year for deer we had a whole flock roost literally right above our cabin. Came out of the outhouse and walked smack dab into the flock. The woods exploded with turkeys and the majority landed in the hemlocks above the cabin. Great pic. Thanks for the share.
MAG5035
Got a visual on some decent storms lurking to the west. Dual pol radar with the KDP product indicating some very heavy rainfall (values over 1, or pretty much any echoes you see register with that product). The core of pretty high KDP echoes up over 4 off to the west of me likely indicates small hail that is melting.
NeffsvilleWx
Looks like the band spanning the west-central part of the state is moving SSE, might get lucky and catch the eastern edge of it. Hope SOMEONE here has something decent today.

Hope SOMEONE here has something decent today. Yep, could def use some rain, the showers last night missed and everything today has missed for the most part. Only picked up .02" which isn't going to help out the dry spell we have been having.

JamieOber
Not too shabby. Most everything has missed Lancaster over the past 2 days I was looking at precip totals and yeah, Lancaster has had a dry time of it. I hope you all get the rest of the week's rain and we get a break.

Eskimo Joe
Question: Would this be an example of mountain-forced convection? i would agree it is. The storms are the mostly oriented parallel to the ridge lines and clustered within the higher terrain.
