Harry
And in terms of freezes GFS dips parts of Iowa/Wisconsin down into the Teens Sunday ! Can you tell where it is hinting at there being snow on the ground? Euro went the colder route too. Not like the GFS but still not far from it. Would be near the record here on that day which is 22. NW Storm
Well... I'm very doubtful about it being that cold next Saturday and Sunday.
gosaints
First golf tournament of the year this coming weekend. Pretty normal to have to pull out the blankets and the thermal underwear.

gosaints
Where was this pattern from Dec through March? No doubt. All this pattern does for us now is produce cold wind driven rain.
gosaints
Just glanced at the GFS Ensemble members for next weekend. Huge spread as would be expected. Some look like the operational, some lift warm front way north, and of course many in between.
turtlehurricane
Low of 29 °F at MSN with around 6 hours below freezing. MKX is pretending like it didn't happen.
trapperman
This is crazy. Every time I'm sure it's going to torch... GFS keeps trying to want to bring in a trough and torch us in the extended and it just... keeps getting squashed. Destroyed. I really wouldn't mind some warm weather right about now! This will be accomplished easily: March average: 48.71°, April 1-22: 45.93° | 2.78° diff. Low 33°. Had some frost in spots this morning.. ..Just saw this. Geos
Widespread freeze again? Could be. GFS and EURO seems to be in close agreement. I guess this is the other shoe that is now finally dropping. This month has been a transition month with the pattern.
Toronto4
Could be. GFS and EURO seems to be in close agreement. I guess this is the other shoe that is now finally dropping. This month has been a transition month with the pattern. As I pointed out in another thread, I like the setup of this potential weekend system compared to today's system. Cold high pressure to the north with a wave of low pressure riding along the baroclinic zone south of the lower lakes.
NW Storm
It got up to the upper 50s here in the South Bend area today. Next few days should return to the 60s with warmer overnights. Will be keeping an eye on this weekend but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the models are wrong this far out. 70s today are going all the way up to Saskatoon with Calgary at 75! Warm air to the west and southwest Kansas City at 65 today.

Tomato plants are getting ready to bloom soon, so the cessation of this incessant cool weather would be much appreciated. I haven't exactly planted anything yet. Do have strawberries that got a little bit of frost damage earlier in the month. Got some Rhubarb growing, which is doing good. Not going to be buying and planting any flowers, tomatoes, or peppers quite yet! Edit: 10pm and already 36°.
