cyclone77
38 at noon. Wow. Yesterday we hit 76, probably mid 40s for a daytime high today, and back into the mid 70s tomorrow. Gotta love it. EDIT: Did hit 57 just after midnight, which will go down as the official high.
Hoosier
Temps underachieving today...sitting at 50 right now. There's a chance we don't make it to the average high which is 54. Edit: scratch that, made it to 54 after midnight
cyclone77
Impressive temp contrast across the state of Iowa. 37 in Monticello to 79 at Sioux City.

BowMeHunter
Doubt it's that cold. Lake is warmer than that. LMAO. 39 by you @ 1:30 How could it possibly be colder than the bath water Lake MI.
BeastFromTheEast
New euro weeklies keep warmth around for us through end of period. Cold is gone. Maybe no more frosts for a lot of us. lol

roardog
It's been in the 30s all day here with sunshine. It's going to be a killing kind of cold tonight for sure.

Yeah this is not looking good for us in MI tonight. I have too much to cover up. I would need at least 3000 Sq feet of tarp. Even then if it gets too cold it will be a lost cause. Nic
Down to 32 in Winona just to your north, with rain. Freezing rain can't be good for the plants lol. Actually it is probably good for the plants, they spray water on most crops to protect them.
Indystorm
Monday April 2 looks absolutely amazing for potential svr in the Midwest if that 984 mb low holds consistency on the GFS in additional runs. Freeze warning for me tonight. I honestly cannot remember a spring in my life when trees have leafed out before the bloodroot and Virginia bluebells have blossomed in a nearby nature preserve I frequent. turtlehurricane
Definitely had some frozen precipitation here briefly in a heavy shower. Might be considered legitimate sleet since it's warm aloft and below freezing in the lowest levels just above the ground. Could've been hail too of course, or both. mississaugasnow
Just when I thought I could cruise control into spring, winter has come back and reminded most of us that it still has a month left in the Great Lakes.
BowMeHunter
Tree trimming around power lines has been slacking around my hood. Hopefully we'll get a good damaging april snow storm to clean stuff up. Perfect time of the yr to be without power for a week+ Cut the grass for the 1st time this yr and then grilled up some Brats and Italians. Very comfortable out there with the slackening winds and sun. Weber smoke billowing, fresh cut grass smell in the air, drinking a Barley pop.. Doesn't get no better anytime, but in March - Wow. wisconsinwx
Almost 3" of rain for the month. I think it's been awhile (probably September) since that's happened here.
BowMeHunter
wish we could fall back 30 degree's off the afternoon high like, LAF. Would only get us to 10 degrees for a low and still 8 degree's off a record low so I guess, meh, save the veg dev for another night.. Last yr the High was 30 and it snowed...2007 it was 80 and a record high,

Geos
Wonder if the lake temperatures will dip down a bit after these gusty winds/wave action and air mass. Down to 36.8°/27°
Hoosier
I'm pretty sure we'll drop lower than the 36 that is being indicated. It would probably have to happen in the next hour or two if it's gonna happen. You have significant WAA aloft after that.
Geos
Clouds are breaking up with the sun setting. Winds are under 10mph now. If it's going to drop, between now and 9pm 'ish will be the time. Thursday AM is forecast to be 36° here. Might be another close call. Had interesting clouds patterns this morning as the sun was rising. This is in central Racine County, WI. cyclone77
Picked up 0.05" from the showers early this morning. Only at 0.84" for the month, and still less than 3.50" for the year. Very dry soils for March.
