Went home and it had stopped raining and did not rain again for the rest of the night.

Yeah, That sucks, I have my weather tap radar at the course on their computer and know the owners well as i have played there over 30 yrs and they usually rely on me to make the call when there is severe weather potential and on league night, The course is located near the Androscoggin river valley and we are usually right in the path of most severe storms that form in the mtns and move thru the foothills into our area, It looks like today we are just outside the severe box but could still see some strong storms
ski MRG
What an awesome stretch of golf weather. After all the rain and now some sun things are looking pretty good at the local links. It's been a treat to play a few rounds in something other than windy, raw conditions. Take the wind out of the equation and it's like shooting fish in a barrel.lol
Clinch Leatherwood
What a gorgeous day on the water today. Been a banner spring for getting out on the water. Smooth seas, fogless mornings, warm temps, light winds. A+

ski MRG
Back up parachutes for paragliding has come a long way. The Orange XT is a great safety device. This training video is great though emergency conditions will be different than the perfect conditions shown here. Calm , cool and collected is the name of the game. Keeping the emergency chutes riser lines from getting tangled with the collapsed canopy is the tricky part. Working quickly and efficiently is an imperative. Great cheesy German rock in this one as well.lol
Clinch Leatherwood
Do you use 1 inner tube or do you lash several together? Pete we use 3 but not during shark noodling season which opened yesterday. We used to use fishing lines but then some guys from Alaska said we weren't tough enough so now we just noodle makos and blue dogs. Sure it hurts a little and sometimes we almost bleed out, but we find the inner tubes were too unstable so now we use a raft like Wilson and Tom Hanks. We fish the alaskan way. ski MRG
Just an awesome day. Biking, hiking and golf. After the heavy rains of last week and the sun the last few days the course couln't be playing any better. The 8th hole at Worthington is the highest hole in the state and a damn good one at that. Have fun, enjoy life.
ski MRG
All area courses are in remarkable shape. It's been a perfect early season with plenty of rain, cool temps and brief sunny stretches. The greens are rolling awfully nice. Looking back at #5 Tee, a vicious 201 yard Par 3 with a nasty (hidden) pot bunker. Go left and you have a nasty uphill chip out of the mank, go right and you have to chip from above and try to hold the very quick green. It looks so innocent. ski MRG
The Kastmaster is such a deadly lure. If I could only have one lure to survive with it would probably be the Kastmaster. Ginxxx, I had no idea there was such a thing as a Carp tournament.

I've only caught Carp by accident. I had a friend growing up whose father was totally into fishing for Carp. I remember he swore by dough balls. I took a few casts tonight but the river was absolutely raging after all the rain. Skunk city.

Catch anything.

The 10 pounder must have felt like a striper. And on light tackle no less! I caught those two trout on 4 lb test and the were dancing left and right. radarman
The trout fishing has been the best in a decade for me. Huge rainbows, gorgeous foot plus brookies, even a big healthy brown. Bass and perch-ranas have been aggressive as usual but the trout have been especially outstanding.

That's a total drag. My home course here drains off very well with only a few spots that hold water. The course has been in such good shape with all the rain we've had. The rough is exceptionally thick and punishing. A few nights ago I had a shot bleed right and land in the rough. I saw right where it landed , walked immediately to the spot but just couldn't find the fooking ball. Frustrating because I had a good round going and didn't need a penalty stroke. Pretty impressive finish for Tiger today. Poor Levin, he folded like a deck of cards. I was surprised that Fowler wilted in Tiger's spotlight.
