The red and silver maples blossom a couple weeks before the Norway's. But I usually gauge with the Norway's because you can't miss those buds. When they get going it looks like spring... green lawns and leaf out on the bushes and flowers on the fruit trees.

I'm currently in Lowell. When I was in Thornton on Sunday it was near 80, but still patches of snow. Any snow left in Bridgewater?

Happens everywhere whole thing is foolish

I am sure it does, Just like spy gate with the Pat's, That happens everywhere as well, But its only when you get caught is when everyone calls you a cheater and have blinders on to the fact that there team does not do those things, Meanwhile, We are up to 78F here, 80 is in sight

I can see why the 00z Euro had that idea of a big NW Atlantic bomb that was ...a bit too close for comfort. A cross-guidance type observation: The GEFs -derived teleconnectors are intriguing when compared to that Euro solution. The PNA at both CDC and CPC is rising, and the NAO at both CPC and CDC is also rising; but the latter has a weeks worth of neutral negative leading... What that means is that the ridge in the east we are currently enjoying should collapse pretty quickly in about another day and half. That seems well enough modeled... But then the flow would tend to suppress in latitude along the EC to accomodate the NAO variant - at least have a tendency to do so. Then the rising PNA arrives, and dumps some S/W dynamics in right near the time when the NAO goes back positive.

That's pretty much 101 on how to cut -off a west Atlantic low.

That would all seem to suggest some plausibility is there. However, the seasonal tendency for progression ... not sure how to factor that in.

Summers here. Bring on the heat through September and then we can snap like a mofo for 7 months.

Pattern change begins November 1, complete by Nov 15.

Perfectly cloudless sky all day here at the Pit. A bit slow on the temp rise, but seems to be picking up steam. 69.3/57. Even the grass is getting a tinge of green already. Good thing I got the new Deere.
