Logan11
There must be a massive meltdown underway at the ski areas. I see Windham in the Catskills is closing after this weekend. Hunter is going to try to open all terrain one more time this weekend. Only int/adv areas are open now. Those areas usually make it to around April 10-15 ..even the 20th. I suppose northern NY/NE can hang on longer.
Logan11
72 in Moosonee and Chibougamau today. I tell you... the sting of this warm event is really much more impressive relative to norms, in the north country. That's the wow zone in all this. NorEastermass128
just turned on the a/c for the first time ever in march even with the windows open it was way to hot All the windows at my house are wide open, but it's still 75 degrees INSIDE. 64 outside. We usually don't turn on the a/c until June...but once the inside temp gets to 80+ degrees, it starts to get a little unbearable.
TalcottWx
Logan still with an onshore wind, although they are variable now. What a stubborn place to bust into the warmer air this time of year. I'm not far at all from them and live near the water, but that peninsula is just enough to screw them out of warmer air. weird day.. lots of questions by many with weather by logan. At my house on southie peninsula about halfway down city point its been variable all day. Warmest period was morning while the sun was up we might have neared 70. Then it dropped like a rock easily neared 50's for a bit. It must have been 65 at the dunks on old colony ave and nearing 50's at my house. Then we went to the eire in the afternoon, it felt like just above 70. Dropped nearly 10F getting close to the neponset rink. Now it feels most warm it has in hours outside. Doing alot of moving in and out of the house, full renovations start in two days
8611Blizz
1:AM here and I have all my windows open and it still is really warm, almost uncomfortably so. No matter what this spring brings for the rest of it I will always be grateful having lived through something this special. We might have rain and 40's for weeks on end at some point this spring but if you b**ch about it then you have no soul.

Logan11
Those #'s look safe to me. They came about 8-10 days later and that makes a big difference with the sun angle increasing daily. 44 here now ... I had to close my windows. But we'll push 80 this afternoon. from Box AFD: With anomalously warm air moving toward the region...especially on Wednesday and Thursday...want to share our all time record high temperatures for the month of March for our climate sites. CapturedNature
just turned on the a/c for the first time ever in march even with the windows open it was way to hot Try some fans. I have several and have some blowing in and some blowing out to create a draft though the house and pull in the outside air. The past two nights I got the house down to 50 in the AM (this AM is a little warmer) and then I close everything up around 0900. Then open things up again around 5 or 6PM and start the process all over again. With the big swings we've been having, it's possible to keep cool all day! CoastalWx
What an epic fail MOS has been for areas..especially near the coast. The GFS actually has temps cooler tomorrow for BOS, despite winds more west and a warmer atmosphere.

Damage In Tolland
Next week AWT..normal to above..no real cool pattern or storminess in sight ECMWF IS AN OUTLIER WITH STRONG SHORTWAVE DIGGING SWD FROM CANADA AND DEVELOPING STRONG CLOSED LOW JUST OFF THE COAST BY TUESDAY...AND HAS LITTLE SUPPORT FROM GLOBAL ENSEMBLE MEMBERS. WE BASED THIS PORTION OF THE FORECAST ON THE GFS/GEFS MEAN SOLUTION. LOW PRES SHOULD BE EXITING REGION BY EARLY MON WITH MAINLY DRY WEATHER EXPECTED BUT GUSTY NE WINDS CAPE/ISLANDS. HIGH PRES BUILDS OVER THE REGION TUE. TEMPS WILL BE NEAR OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE SEASONABLE NORMALS.

CoastalWx
So close to getting that cutoff here early next week. I know the wx would suck, but we need the rain. Otherwise, people like Kevin will run the reservoirs dry as they water their lawns.
