phlwx
Monthly average temperature so far 49.5 (8.2 above average to date). We're already 4th warmest on record for March through the 17th and still have two weeks to go...including a week more of 60s and 70s. The last week of March's possible cooldown might be enough to prevent us from getting the record (52.5 from '21) but it wouldn't surprise me if we end up in the top 5 or so. Only Marches that have been warmer overall: 1921, 1945, and 1946.

easternsnowman
I read somewhere where forecasters were saying warmer than average is here to stay. My thoughts on the new norms being 2 or 3 above the 1980-2010 averages may well be underestimated.
ChescoWx
I don't believe in global warming...so count me as believing we have many more below normal months in all of our futures before we toddle off this mortal coil. In fact I have a strong suspicion we will see at least 2 of the upcoming summer months averaging out below normal. I read somewhere where forecasters were saying warmer than average is here to stay. I don't believe in man made global warming, in my opinion the sun has alot to do with this situation. My guess is lthat mid to late summer will be cooler than normal and I do hope summer as a whole is cooler than normal.
BucksCO_PA
it's gonna be the last 2 days that prevent this month from being the warmest MAR on record however it easily ends #2 with another top 10 warm month in the books this now going to have Philly record 15 out of the past 27 months as being the top 10 warmest on record, the only months in which a top 10 warm record haven't been recorded are JAN & OCT
phlwx
The April 2011-March 2012 period is the warmest April-March "year" of temps on record (59.38, old is 58.88 from Apr 31-Mar 32). Also, those 12 months are the warmest "year" of data (12 month running tally) on record regardless (old 59.12, Mar 31-Feb 32).
