That would give them a string of 10 days straight of 70+, and with at least seven straight daily record highs. Wednesday is looking shaky for #8, but I think they are low-balling the progged high. cyclone77
MLI is now up to 9 records in the last 5 days. 5 straight record highs, and 4 straight record warm lows. Tomorrow's record high/warm low is 78/63. Since MLI is already at 63 the warm low record is pretty much out, but still a chance at a record high. Certainly possible that they can't make 78 though with all the clouds moving in from the incoming system.

IWXwx
FWA blew another high temp record out of the water today, hitting 83 (old record 76 in 1921). This gives them six in a row. With another high temp record tomorrow almost a given, they will tie the all time record for consecutive record high temps from the infamous July 8 - 14 1936 heat wave. Thursday will tell the tale on whether on or not they can break the record. Calling for a high of 80 and the record is 81. Of course, they busted low today and the models are now backing off on the speed of the ejection of the upper level low, so Thursday is now looking promising for another hot day. EDIT: Doh!! They will break the record. Wednesday will be the eighth in row. Thursday would just be a bonus.

michsnowfreak
We are at day 6 and counting of consecutive 70F+ days. To find a similar consecutive stretch, they had to go back to APRIL 16-24 1886!!! Hmm does THAT April ring a bell? At the very least, we're going to tie that record. If the current model progs are right with respect to Friday (they may speed up the breakdown of the ridge), we will kiss it that record goodbye. As for the maximum daily high record, mid 80s are definitely possible Wednesday. We would likely break it that day, if any.

beavis1729
It looks like INL will put a 78/60 in the books for today, assuming the temp doesn't drop below 60 before midnight. This is a +44 departure, as normals for today are 36/14. Also, the previous record high for today was 60...so this morning's low temp actually tied the previous record high. And, records for INL go back 100+ years.

Daily, earliest 80+ and highest ever for March Mar 21, 81.. Daily and pending the outcome of the 20th potentially earliest 80+, First ever back to back 80+ in March Record highs so far.. Mar 14, 78 Mar 15, 77 Mar 16, 77 Mar 17, 76 Mar 18, No record high was set. High was 72 but it atleast kept the 70+ streak going.. Mar 19.. 79.. Updated forecast highs.. Mar 20, 84... Daily, earliest 80+ and highest ever for March Mar 21, 83... Daily and pending the outcome of the 20th potentially earliest 80+, First ever back to back 80+ in March Mar 22, 78... This date holds the current record high for the month of March and as well earliest 80+ and thus 82. Mar 23, 70.. possible end to the 70+ streak? Still could challenge the record low max for the month of March which currently is 62. *EDIT.. DAM.. GRR has gone higher with the temps here for tomorrow and Wed. They are now going with 85 tomorrow/later today and thus the 20th 86 on Wednesday! EDIT 2.. Added GRR AFD. This is just beyond sick especially if it happens. THE HEAT CONTINUES TO BUILD WEDNESDAY. INCREDIBLY THE 00Z MET HAS A 90 MAX FOR KGRR WEDNESDAY WHICH IS OVER FORTY DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TEMPS FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR WHICH ARE IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S. THE TYPICALLY COOLER MAV HAS AN 83. BASED ON THE UPPER RIDGE STILL IN PLACE... LOTS OF SUN AND CONTINUED SOUTHERLY FLOW WE HAVE TWEAKED THE MAX TEMP FCST UP ON AVG 2-3 DEGREES ACROSS OUR FCST AREA FOR WEDNESDAY... SHOULD END UP BEING AT LEAST AS WARM AS TODAY AND POTENTIALLY 1-3 DEGREES WARMER. As mentioned above the record high for the month of April here is 90!! Same thing in Grand Rapids and Lansing!!
