ctsnowstorm628
Just missed. 79.2F. We would've been for sure. On spring break this week No kidding. Yeah, most schools had break this week...not LSC naturally. We had one in Feb and have one again in 2 weeks, right when the pattern flips back to crap. Atleast I'll be in CT lol
ctsnowstorm628
Not to be picky..but June was avg to below avg last year. So it's not 13 months in a row. I know the beginning of June was iffy, but late month was fantastic from what I can remember.

Yes it is where I live. 13 months in a row of above normal temps at BDR..........I believe ORH was -0.1 for the month of June.

ski MRG
Cooler weather is ahead after this week, no denying that, just trying to enjoy it while its around.....nice thing is we are heading into warmer times gradually, hopefully the interior can cash in one more time. This is special. A big pre Halloween thump is special. This weather is sad, very very sad.
HoarfrostHubb
There is almost no mud. Plenty of tinder in the woods. Hot and dry

As much as I love the spring and summer months (especially when we see unprecedented temps like today) that pic makes me wants a huge storm. CoastalWx
Was that just east of 495 and not applicable to CEF and BDL or even ORH ? BDL was actually dead on normal. ORH was a hair below. June was the only cool month in the last 12.
ctsnowstorm628
Back to reality next weekend, Temps are looking more seasonable... Even with 850s between -5C and 5C, that'll translate to 45-50F+ with any dry adiabatic airmass in late March especially. Not bad! And most long long range guidance builds the ridge back up in later frames. Exciting!

Hour after hour the death band regenerated over us. It was a hell of a thump. I was just looking back through the radar captures I have. Just fantastic. That storm alone made the Winter memorable. There's nowhere to go but down from a day like today! St. J averages 78F in the summer, and today was 79F lol but yeah I'd much rather have it in July. Epic stuff right there. Seriously memorable for folks in NW CT and the Berkshires especially.

This is epic and unprecedented, 74.8F here was the high today, Tomorrow is looking cooler with slight chance of showers and 50's, Then we torch again weds-thurs (70's) before we cool back down to low 50's

Yeah, with the airmass in place and temps at 850, thats plausible. That 582dm 500mb ridge max in the OV is impressive, though.

Don't think it gets all the way out here, but we won't be as warm tomorrow..probably 65-70F out this way.

HurricaneJosh
hurricanejosh was frothing with delight over extreme cold and now powderfreak is all amped up over extreme warmth. I caught this untruth. I wasn't frothing with delight-- I was simply making the most of a dreadful situation. Thx.
Brian5671
59 at BDR for the high. Kind of sucks but torch I guess. Big LOL. most places around BDR were closer to 70 in reality.

ctsnowstorm628
Big LOL. most places around BDR were closer to 70 in reality. GON only got to 50F, yet many places within 5miles were near 60F just off the water.
CoastalWx
Big LOL. most places around BDR were closer to 70 in reality. Well if we can use BDR for the low, we must use it for the high. Just trying to be consistent.
ski MRG
That picture of snowtober hurts... Never fear. My old salt New Englander neighbor told me this evening that "Next Winter we won't be so lucky, it's going to snow like the Dickens" . He has never been wrong with a Winter outlook always issued to me sometime in Spring. Last Spring he told me we'd have a mild Winter. I laughed it off. scoob40
That picture of snowtober hurts... Let me tell you that was one helluva night here in Hampden County. Limbs falling all over the place and if you ventured outside the ominous sound of creaking wood was your constant companion. An event quite likely not to be repeated again in our lifetime.
