Boogieman
Getting concerned about the cells moving into NW Oakland. They have been getting odd with last few sweeps That cell has been squatting right there for what seems like eternity. I was waiting for them to put a warning on that cell in southwestern Genesee Co, but the most attention has been on the cell at Genesee/Tuscola co border, where there's been observed rotation and lowering for at least 20 minutes now. Skywarn spotter just reported a lot of strong updraft near Grand Blanc. Net control is watching WSD88D seeing a lot of building on that cell. weatherpsycho
Some of the craziest lightning and rain I've seen right now. Streets flooding big time. Told yah the other day that AA is the t-storm magnet of SE MI. Enjoy all I have a anvil clouds and occasional sky lighting. Typically M59 cooridor results today in Oakland Cnty I am pissed now I didnt storm chase (radar was looking so promising until the tornado developed for my area). hm8
The whole sky jut lit up with the coolest shade of purple, like plasma colored. Hearing reports of roads being impassible around the area due to flooding.

Typically M59 cooridor results today in Oakland Cnty I am pissed now I didnt storm chase (radar was looking so promising until the tornado developed for my area). Northern Oakland does well with snowstorms with marginal temps, but terrible with severe weather. Washtenaw county does seem to always get hit. Jonger
Beautiful video of the tornado in Washtenaw. Why are the tornados in my county always hidden in rain. This looks more like a plains tornado.
upsloper
Convection building now off the back side of the RFD for the Ann Arbor storm. I'd say this will help quite things down for them. That's not to say mod-hvy rain and flooding won't still be a problem.

roardog
Just pea sized hail and about 30 mph winds here but the most impressive thing is the amount of lightning. Plus heavy 70F rain. I'll probably never see another March like this in my life. lol

upsloper
Looks like there could be some favorable gravity wave interaction helping to occasionally boost rotation in the cell. Too early to be conclusive about the significance, but here a sat screenshot that appears to show a train of gravity waves in that Lapeer cell's inflow.
