South Padre Island area water temps 65 to 67ºF, a little cool for bathing. But afternoon highs should reach the upper 70sF (83ºF in BRO yesterday, a little remmoved from ocean influence) so at least it is bathing suit weather. Low chances of rain all week. Closer to home, despite cold shelf waters and the prospects of low clouds near HOU not burning off to allow destabilization and breaking of the cap, it has been a wet late Winter, Whether those cold shelf waters will mean missed "fun-derstorm" opportunities in Spring is yet to be seen. Travel into Matamoros used to be the great equalizer for a still Winter time Texas for Spring Break, but now that travel into Mexico isn't recommended, Florida, land of early Spring, may be the destination.
