powderfreak
Going to be a cold one tonight... NWS forecasting a low of 9F. Never made it above 28F during the daylight hours today, but shows how strong the sun is as the 1/2-3/4" of snow we had in town burned off quickly on all aspects but north facing. Looks like November with a coating of snow on north side roofs, and in shaded areas around houses and trees... but the majority of the ground is snow free and dead. Mr Torchey
Hey LL, are you enjoying the outdoor shower tonight? BRRRRrrrrrr Actually just turned the water off, what a fantastic day today, played 18 in some of the most hostile conditions I have ever experienced on a golf course. We had two balls that were actually blown off the greens, the wind was relentless and the temp settled from 53 to 46 by the time we finished at Toshua in Trumbull. Have a blazing fire going, looking forward to a chilly night! The variablility of spring is awesome, far cry from playing in shorts and getting tan last week. Very glad I have not planted anything nor transplanted any perennials besides ornamental grasses which will have zero issue with the freeze. Stay warm folks! Typhoon Tip
Why is Forky's trolling tolerated while others face severe sancitions for less provocative actions? I'm not lobbying for Forky to be suspended mind you. I find his gadfly status amusing. I'm just trying to understand the seeming inconsistency in the application of a rather vague set of standards. Eh, call a spade a spade: It's red-tag hypocrasy. But don't fret! hypocrasy is an endemic to human society as their dream of equality - and their both just as frightening. If you don't possess red colored text, you carry less clout, when you carry less clout, the rules apply to you differently. That's just the way it goes... It's loosely analogous to when you see a state cruiser on the open highway, roof turned off, humming along blithely at 80mph, while he passes another in the break down line who's roof is fired up, where he's pulled over someone for doing 75. Yeah ... the world is what we make it, as the old adage goes, but that doesn't extend any comfort to those taking the downside of the iniquity humans operate within. TOOTH
I hope this kills the damn ticks. I have been pulling them off the dogs for a week. The ticks this year are not afraid of Frontline. I have never seen this before. Kind of scary. We also bathed them in Biospot before the Frontline.

ctsnowstorm628
11F is my forecast low here tonight. Damn. Temp actually peaked at 630 this evening at 28F, but as soon as we lose insolation, we are going to drop like a rock. 45F difference as of now from this time last week. Only thing saving us from going close to 0 is the winds that will be kicking up later tonight.

CoastalWx
Cold night over in VT for sure dude.. Actually there is some longitude to the east with this cold. Part of the reason I'm only about 4F warmer than ORH, but a 330 wind is ideal cold advection for this area.
ski MRG
How will you enjoy it tonight? I'll go for a walk and star gaze . You should try it , oh, wait, you probably have too much light pollution down there, nevermind.
ctsnowstorm628
Cold night over in VT for sure dude.. Yeah, definitely a shock compared to last week, but I mean its NNE and should be expected! Yeah like Scooter said, it looks like the core of the cold spreads over into eastern NE by 9z tomorrow, with 850s near -17C at that time!

CoastalWx
Most know i am better than most mets If you just stuck to your guns about a very low snowfall for the winter, you would have done very well. Instead, you fell in too deep on snow events.
