#NoPoles
Snowiest April in history would be poetic in the aftermath of the record warm March - shhhh!!! tempting the fates
Roger
I think we'll end up scoring big here at some point in the next 2 weeks. Sounds like you are bragging

Clinch Leatherwood
Looks roughly like Boston was 48/42 for yesterday versus a rough average of 48/34. Still a "torch" to some extent. But that'll be changing the next 48 hours.
powderfreak
35F Mixed rain and snow. BTV over to -SN at 34F now. Given the rate of the mixed precip here in town, the mountain could be getting crushed (relatively speaking compared to the last couple weeks, haha). Finally a moist NW flow! powderfreak
All I can say is I hope everyone sees snow again... this is awesome. Absolutely dumping up here but its falling sideways and not down. Plastering trees, buildings, road signs, etc all at a 90-degree angle on 40mph winds. Drive to the mountain was nuts... full on white-out with falling and blowing snow and road was snowpacked and very slick above 1,300ft. Snow and wind is a much better high than sniffing glue in mom's basement.
MaineJayhawk
Congrats, 'freak! I've been out of the loop for a bit, but it seems we may be in line for a chance or two at snow. I'm not holding my breath and if it doesn't happen that's fine.

CoastalWx
Boy models are all over the place in the next10 days. The mean trough position will be vital as to whether the low near the second is close enough to SNE, or offshore. the 00z euro run is kind of messy with the details. The euro and ensembles now try to bring something through on the 3rd and 4th.
dendrite
Could these be more opposite? EC ens are cold too. Unfortunately we know who will win. I'd take another warning criteria event in a heartbeat, but the it was nice to break out the shorts last week. It's a bummer to have to put them back in the drawer for awhile. ski MRG
Ahhhh yes, the poor little Warministas, looks like the heat orgy is over. Low teens here tonight with flakes now in the forecast mid-week and it's only going to get better. Kabooom!

moneypitmike
Looking forward to the cooler weather. I haven't been able to look at things much lately, but surprised to see it so warm up here this monring. It was 48.0 at 5:30 up from a low of 42.3 at midnight. Bring on the return to winter. 47.7/
powderfreak
Looks like November out there with bare, dead grass/ground with a wind-blown inch of snow on everything. And the ground rapidly freezing into the hardest surface imaginable. 19F now at 4,000ft and 25.6F here at 1,500ft. Very strong winds. Going to be lovely up high. Allenson
Actually down to 32 now and a slight whitening of the yard. I'd say I can call it a 'trace' now.
powderfreak
It's not accumulating but it's nice to see. Windy as all hell too...! 33F atm You should start to stick soon... when I left town at 5:00am I had a measurable 0.1 on the car and mulch/grassy areas were turning white at 33F and that was at 800ft. Still snowing up here but radar looks like dry air is moving in quickly. A November coating of an inch looks to do it but so much nicer for a cold day to have a white ground.
