powderfreak
It's pretty nice looking for your area. Probably would be several inches. Thanks... mixed feelings but I guess I'd obviously root for snow because the flip side is a 38F rainer or something. For skiing its close to being too little too late, but I think we'd all enjoy to see a few more flakes. I'm thinking we see a dusting/coating/1" or something with this cold shot early in the week, there's bound to be some upslope response with that type of CAA. I think if it snows you'd see a good push of people. It's novel again after 2+ weeks of warmth and nobody else has substantial terrain left aside of you and SR and those up in Maine. powderfreak
ECMWF snow maps for Thursday, lol. Central New England special with several inches possible for Dendrite and points west.
CoastalWx
Euro still looks like it could give higher el in SNE some snow.
CoastalWx
Wow what a weenie run. It has a potent second vortmax that blows up a low well south of NE, but it even gives LL snow..lol.

Tropopause_Fold
euro would have snow flying thursday, the following monday, and probably a few days later with a really potent system coming out of the plains.

Yes please. Maybe we can trend the Wednesday night event into a few inches of snow in the interior...that would be sweet,

Too bad the Euro didn't go out another 24 hours just for entertainment purposes...that looks like a potential monster event at the end of the run coming out of the midwest. ORH_wxman
I'm surprised at how cold the Euro is trending for Thursday...I figured it would be warmer this run after the GFS keeps torching but instead it actually came in colder than 00z run and yesterday's 12z run. HoarfrostHubb
ONE THING TO NOTE IS THAT THE 00Z ECMWF IS COLDER THAN THE 12Z GFS...WHICH COULD MEAN SNOW FOR NORTHERN ZONES AS WELL AS HIGH TERRAIN.

ORH_wxman
Euro ensembles are pretty good looking for the Thursday (D5) system...definitely would be snow for the interior of CNE/SNE.

I noted already D5 looks pretty decent on ensembles...but I just saw the 4/2 system on the ensembles...I can't believe how robust it is (and cold) on the ensemble mean. Pretty impressive actually. I'm still skeptical of day 5 here in SNE...probably more an NNE/CNE threat if I had to guess, but the pattern does not stop with that threat for sure. It looks pretty threating (for early April anyway) all the way to the end of the ensemble run.

We didn't have any like that...they aren't that common to begin with. I recall the last one being on March 24-25, 2007...but maybe we had one after that too. CoastalWx
I thought the euro would at least not be as bullish for Thursday, but it looks good as do the ensembles. Interesting battle in guidance right now.

CoastalWx
I know what I like attm... LOL. It's really interesting looking on the ensembles...the 500 pattern that is. You go from a big west based -NAO block and then shift it over to AK by the end of the run.
