Damage In Tolland
You're not fooling anybody. You haven't won the bet with Will and you totally ignored my bet proposal because you know you'd lose. It has snowed here 6 times since you declared no more snow will fall. Keep saying it and eventually, in June, you may be correct. I hope next Winter you make better guesses , I mean forecasts. Oh, BTW, my snow is still here months after you said it would all be gone. Climo and time of of year is certainly on my side..By the time this record heat wave is over some time around MArch 25th..by then chances of accumulating snow are way way down..and it takes something special for any to get snow. I don't include your area as any part of SNE. It's just some weird glen where I would guess like 3 homes have snow in their yards..and if you were to drive around in exposed areas..it's mostly gone with patches of snow. We average around 16" in March and about 6" in April. That's just the average. I would think that ORH would have averages a little less than that but still considerable. You are going to lose your bet with Will and I will be so happy to remind you of that all Summer long. Yesterday in GC, before last nights snow. Patches, lol. ski MRG
It actually does snow at sea level, clown..lol. The Cape has had a better winter than many of us in the BOS area. So has Tampa. Your posts have a sense of thinly veiled nervousness this morning. Nah, The only guidance I really put any stock in is the EURO. It looks like a nationwide torch is on the way. Eventually even I'll have the snow burned off. I'm planning on getting in as much skiing as I can in the next few weeks. I firmly believe the pendulum will swing back in time to give us a nice Wintery stretch in late March or early April. Presently my focus has turned back to AK as I'm hoping to return in late April. The forecast there is stellar. I enjoy life everyday regardless of the weather, even the horror of an early Spring can't get me down. His snowpack is vanishing quicker than Kevin's muscle composition. This pattern has clearly gotten to you.

HoarfrostHubb
Nice disco on this from BOX of ROX 830 AM UPDATE... INTERESTING EVENT UNFOLDING THIS MORNING ACROSS EASTERN MA WITH INVERTED TROF EXTENDING WESTWARD INTO EASTERN COASTAL MA FROM MAIN CYCLONE WELL OFFSHORE. IN FACT VISIBLE SATELLITE IMAGERY NICELY SHOWS A CYCLONIC SWIRL/MESO LOW FORMING ON THE INVERTED TROF JUST EAST OF CAPE COD. MAIN DRIVER HERE IS A VIGOROUS SHORT WAVE TROF MOVING JUST SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND THIS MORNING. LATEST WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS WARM AIR ALOFT BEGINNING TO BE PULLED BACK WESTWARD/CYCLONICALLY INTO CAPE COD...TRYING TO FORM A COMMA HEAD/TROWAL SIGNATURE. HOWEVER SHORT WAVE TROF IS PROGRESSIVE WHICH SHOULD LIMIT DURATION AND ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO AN INCH OR TWO OVER THE CAPE AND ISLANDS INCLUDING COASTAL PLYMOUTH COUNTY. THERE IS A LOW RISK OF UP TO 3 INCHES ACROSS THIS AREA. SURFACE TEMPS ARE AT OR JUST BELOW FREEZING SO ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY. AN SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS ON THIS SHORT DURATION SNOW EVENT.
