ski MRG
Pete in all honesty, how deep is that crusty cruddy snow? There is 7-9" of styrofoam (about an inch of dust from last night and the squall a little while ago) below that there is about 3-4" of perma-crust that I can't get the architect's ruler through (the only ruler I have, lol). That's in the yard and it gets sun. If I go higher up and on northern exposures there is more. Sorry about the crappy photo , white on white doesn't photo well. Mind you this is in the yard where we have packed it down by skiing and sledding and general winter frolicing.
ski MRG
80.75 on the year slant stick'd and all Shouldn't you be threatening to drive up to weenie ridge or Savoy State park? I just have to go out the back door for my snow.
wxsniss
I'm only 36.1 here, but I'm not very excited either way. I liked the older NAM, new ones wack it. Hoping the 0z run paints the picture and I can sleep easy knowing I'll get zeroed again. Nothing worse than waking up 53 times during the night to squint at the front light and see if 3 flakes are falling. lol... i bet most here have done exactly that countless times (i certainly have)
CoastalWx
Nice Pete. Enjoy it while you can. I do miss having loss of trees around to help salvage the snowpack. Even though it's not the snowiest place in the world, the snow in my parents neighborhood just lasted so long thanks to all the evergreens. Next week looks brutal but even if we lose it all I'm confident we'll get a late Marcc/April bomb. oh my...good thing you don't have any neighbors! You're not kidding. Heaviest snow since October now Huge flakes Quick 0.5" in 20 minutes so far Lol Same squall that passed over us I think. Intense quick hitter. HoarfrostHubb
Nice! I think the snow we had back on the 29th (if I remember the date correctly) was probably heavier but was really late at night. I picked up an inch in like 20 minutes from that. I think I might get porked from this band.... Should have clarified...heaviest snow I had seen (stayed up for) since Oct Tapering off now. Flakes normal sized... Wow that was cool. I knew it was incoming but I was busy tubbing my daughter/reading to her etc. Came down and turned on the floodlight...Bam

HoarfrostHubb
0.8" on the back deck (it had been 100% clear at 7:45) 1.2" on the remnants of my lawn (DomNH's air pockets) That was superb. Wonder if ORH got any?
ski MRG
Nice squall out near lee in the berkshires right now, looks insanely intense. I've been watchingthat one since it was out near Cobleskill. Looks like I'll get grazed as it moves past underneath me. Light snow right now.

My coworkers laughed at me when I told them we would get snow last night (got a coating) They took me a little more seriously when I told them we would see more tonight Now we just need a late season bowling ball

Clinch Leatherwood
new RUC looks much like the 12z Euro. It's the last impulse that delivers the goods later tonight over eastern areas, again similar to the Euro. Will be a close call. Suspect the NAM caves that way too. LOL, compare the 12z 15h NAM to the 0z 3h...that's pretty close NOT.

Logan11
Nice one came through here about an hour and a half ago. For 10 minutes it was a white out. I went outside and savored it knowing what lies ahead. So the .4 coating replaced last nights .4 which had melted. What a squall! This rocks Anyone else getting it? The dusting we got this morning was gone in most spots when I got home. This won't last so I enjoy it while I can, before Joe's sizzle sets up camp

Clinch Leatherwood
NAM is an attrocious model. I just cannot believe how far off it's 15 hour forecast was from 12z today.
ski MRG
Yeah it was about a 10 minute white out with wind. I mentioned earlier that it looked good out your way. I hope Blizz keeps saying no more snow. It's worked out well so far.
Clinch Leatherwood
The inverse flaccid penis never delivers. It will scrape all so close to the coast but barring a Pfizer intervention most of MA gets blue balls.
Clinch Leatherwood
The NCEP apologists will argue otherwise but if the NAM is the best we can do we should just give up and outsource to the Euro like we do everything else. It's useless at any range a majority of the time....much like the RUC and HRRR.
