N. OF PIKE
On record now..flurries for TOL and ORH..maybe a feather dusting in BOS i think odds/climo favor a PSM jackpot if anywhere...right now. i'll be about 12 miles N of boston for "event" so hopefully snow coats the ground. N. OF PIKE
lolz blizz the hope dies slow for some joe joyce just cut amounts for most of bos metro ....from d-2 to d-1 no biggie and as coastal would say...." we never said this was a blizzard" looks like banding sets up from zucker over to bow/NH then ESE to N. andover-BVY up thru PSM and possibly rotates down and clips bos with a quick band lock it up ? Reale WX
I've concluded that the HRRR is practically useless. It's just a really bad model. It did well predicting a stripe of 6" across CT a couple weeks back when all the models were lighter.
Snow Bow
lolz blizz the hope dies slow for some joe joyce just cut amounts for most of bos metro ....from d-2 to d-1 no biggie and as coastal would say...." we never said this was a blizzard" looks like banding sets up from zucker over to bow/NH then ESE to N. andover-BVY up thru PSM lock it up ? Clinch Leatherwood
Some impressive bands just off the Boston to Plymouth coast. Nice...probably they stay there for 12 hours before rotating down and rotting. HRRR is horrible beyond 30 minutes.
Clinch Leatherwood
It did well predicting a stripe of 6" across CT a couple weeks back when all the models were lighter. For every one time it's right it's wrong 10 times. At this moment I favor a solution that keeps those bands off the coast..this next batch comes in from the west it congeals and we wait for everything, we will wait for them to rotate and scrape by later. Hopefully they can push onshore in SE MA south of Boston. Who knows what happens further north. Hopefully this isn't the ultimate tease to put an exclamation on the year. dendrite
The 18z BTV WRF has a lot of funky mesoscale things going on over the next 24hrs. http://www.erh.noaa....tv/html/4kmwrf/ Nice little meso comma head look for BOS around 15hr and then another band in the interior a few hours later. As usual this will likely be a nowcast event given the small scale of the sfc features. It should be cool to watch unfold.

CoastalWx
Logan's winds are from the NNE albeit light. For now, the boundary is south. You want to be on the north side of this I think.
Clinch Leatherwood
I'm only 36.1 here, but I'm not very excited either way. I liked the older NAM, new ones wack it. Hoping the 0z run paints the picture and I can sleep easy knowing I'll get zeroed again. Nothing worse than waking up 53 times during the night to squint at the front light and see if 3 flakes are falling.
