Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Friday, May 30, 2014
  •

Friday was our transitional day from cool, low clouds and a bit of leftover rain/drizzle/fog in the early AM to gradually lifting and clearing clouds in the later AM and especially the PM hours, with temps warming into the 70s under increasing sun and warmer, drier light flow from land, and not the ocean. By this evening we cleared out totally, with temps dropping off through the 60s into the upper 50s so far early on this Saturday morning.  We should hit around 55 for a low by sunrise. Saturday and Sunday should see mostly sunny, dry conditions with temps in the mid-upper 70s and lows Saturday night into the 50s as we transition from May to June. Monday we should warm further into the low 80s with increasing humidity.  Tuesday and Wednesday should see more clouds than sun, highs in the mid 80s, and a 50-60 POP for showers/storms under more humid conditions. Nighttime temps should mostly be in the low-mid 60s most of the week. Thursday and Friday shows more 80s but with decreasing rain chances (40 POP on Thursday, 30 POP on Friday).

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Saturday, May 31, 2014
  •

Saturday was a beautiful day to wind up the month of May. Sunny skies, dew points actually dropping from the 50s into the 40s during the afternoon and early evening, high temps in the mid 70s, and light breezes featured the day.  Under clear skies and no wind this evening and early Sunday morning hours, the temps have dropped through the 60s and into the mid 50s, similar to the pattern from last night.  A repeat of Saturday should be the rule for Sunday with high temps in the mid-upper 70s, low dew points once again as we head into the month of June. Sunday night should be one more night with clear skies and low temps in the 50s. Alas this beautiful, pleasant weather isn't going to last much into the new work week, as warmer temps well into the 80s to near 90 and rising dew points into the 60s will be the new week's pattern. Sunny and still relatively dry on Monday with highs in the mid 80s, then lows in the 60s Monday night, followed by a partly cloudy, hot, humid day on Tuesday with a 50 POP for afternoon and/or evening showers/thundershowers that could be severe in some spots. Wednesday should see our warmest temps of the week with highs in the upper 80s and only a 30 POP for showers/storms during the day. The rest of the week should feature more clouds than sun, highs in the low-mid 80s and a 30-50 POP for showers/storms. Not a washout but the threat is there in the warm, humid air for showers or storms to pop up at any time. Overnight lows should still remain in the 60s.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Sunday, June 1, 2014
  •

Sunday was a beautiful day to kick start the new month of June. While hopefully we will have even better days later on this month, it wouldn't surprise me if this one turns out on top. Dew points remained in the 50s, high temps remained in the mid 70s, and overnight low temps fell into the mid 50s. Cumulus clouds dotted the sky for a good while in the afternoon, but after the daytime heating closed out with sunset, we have been under clear skies tonight. Temps have fallen through the 60s but not quite reached the 50s yet. They should be sunrise, probably reaching the mid 50s once again for one last time for a while unfortunately. Temperatures during the upcoming week should be somewhere in the 80s, topping off with the highest readings on Wednesday with sunnier skies and the least likely to get showers/storms during the week. Storms/showers chances reach a 50 POP on Tuesday, then reach a 60 POP on Thursday. Friday and into the weekend we should have a 40 POP for showers/storms. Low temps should remain mostly in the 60s after tonight, with muggy dew points all week in the 60s to occasionally in the low 70s.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Tuesday, June 3, 2014
  •

Tuesday was warmer and more humid with showers and storms in the region but failed to make a dent in my backyard rain gauge. High temps rose into the mid 80s, after lows in the low 60s. Temps have slowly dropped in the evening and early morning hours of Wednesday into the low 70s, and will probably not lower any further than the upper 60s by sunrise. Mostly clear overnight and muggy, dew points are in the mid-upper 60s. Wednesday should be sunny, warm and humid with high temps in the mid 80s, then increasing clouds towards evening and in the overnight, with showers and storms quite likely (70 POP) overnight and into Thursday morning as a warm front then cold front comes through. There might be a mesoscale convective complex coming through our area Wednesday night at some point, we have to watch that as a slight possibility of a derecho is in the cards. Clearing off later on Thursday and drying out/cooling off with temps falling into the 50s by Friday morning. Friday should be a nice day, with highs in the mid 70s and lower dew points.  Saturday will be dry and a bit warmer, with highs in the low 80s, lows in the 50s. Sunday through Tuesday looks unsettled, with 40-50 POPs for showers and storms scattered through the area. Highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s. Tuesday evening I attended the 2014 DC-AMS chapter Science Fair Awards Banquet. Bob Ryan, noted TV weather personality for many years, was our dinner speaker. Kids who won local science fair competition got to show off their projects again and compete for further prizes and awards. It was an enjoyable, rewarding evening for all who attended.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Wednesday, June 4, 2014
  •

Wednesday was partly cloudy, warm and humid with showers holding off till the evening and not as severe or heavy as expected.  Other areas in the region were dumped on with heavier rain and thunderstorm action. Overnight more showers are falling, but action should be diminishing as we work our way into Thursday. I see a dry slot my immediate area seems to be headed for, but showers could develop in this very moist air.  Thursday should dry out after possible morning showers (40 POP) with highs in the upper 70s, lows in the 50s. Similar conditions on Friday. Over the weekend highs up in the low 80s, sunny on Saturday, a return to a 40 POP for showers on Sunday with low 80s for highs, lows in the low-mid 60s. A 40 POP for showers continuing into the new week, at least the first part of the week with seasonable 80s and 60s for low and high temps respectively.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Friday, June 6, 2014
  •

Friday was a sunny, dry, nice day.  High temperatures held in the upper 70s, dew points were mostly in the 50s, as was the early morning temps, and also the late evening/early morning Saturday values.  It should be in the mid 50s by sunrise.  Saturday should be another pretty day, a bit warmer into the low 80s, but still dry with relatively low dew point temps. Lows one more time in the 50s Saturday night, then partly cloudy on Sunday, highs in the low-mid 80s, becoming more humid with a shot at possible showers/storms at the end of the day. Showers possible into Sunday evening, but should be elsewhere during the overnight period into Monday. Monday through Wednesday looks partly to mostly cloudy, muggy with high temps in the low-mid 80s, dew points well up into the 60s, with a 40-50 POP for showers/storms during the afternoon and/or evening hours. Chances are that this pattern may persist into Thursday and possibly even Friday, we will have to see.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Saturday, June 7, 2014
  •

Saturday was another sunny, dry day, albeit a bit warmer than yesterday as we poked over the 80 mark for our high temp.  Tonight it is also a bit warmer, as temps are slowly dropping through the 60s with dew points in the upper 50s. Currently it just went under the 60 mark, but by sunrise in a few hours it will only drop a bit more, probably around 58. Over the next several days, we should be partly to mostly cloudy, muggy with dew points in the 60s, high temps in the low-mid 80s and a daily threat of showers and storms with a 30-50 POP - Wednesday and Thursday with the greatest chances and Monday and Tuesday the lesser chances.  There is a 30 POP for tomorrow (Sunday) - scattered afternoon showers/storms.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Sunday, June 8, 2014
  •
Sunday was an increasingly muggy and cloudy day, with sun coming through the high clouds most of the day. Cloudy evening, and then light rain in the late evening hours, the last 2 or so hours of the day. Big storms to the west had weakened as they headed east over the mountains, and we are just getting light showers in the late evening/early morning hours.  Muggy/damp, temps are in the upper 60s now with dew points just about the same.  We should get more light rain overnight, but by sunrise we should just be partly to mostly cloudy with the rain outta here.  The week ahead looks warm and muggy, very summerlike unfortunately, with a moderate to strong threat for daily showers and occasional thunderstorms each day- running to 60 POP on Wednesday and Thursday, lighter chances at other times. High temps should be in the low-mid 80s, low temps in the 60s which is what the dew point temps look to be most of the week.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Monday, June 9, 2014
  •

Monday was a muggy day, just a sample for what we will be having all week. Overnight light rains added more moisture to the air after the sun come out this morning. A few light scattered showers this evening, but nothing but sprinkles here.   Muggy/damp, temps are in the lower 70s now with dew points also in the low 70s. We should stay cloudy overnight with low temps around 70 with a slight chance at some rain as storms and showers are just to my N and NW, but appear to be moving NE, and should mostly miss my area.  The week ahead looks warm and muggy, very summerlike unfortunately, with a 30 POP for showers/storms on Tuesday, then a 70 POP for showers/storms on Wednesday, 60 POP on Thursday, 50 POP on Friday, high temps in the mid-upper 80s (warmest day looks to be Wednesday), and lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. The weekend looks to dry out with high temps in the low 80s, lows in the low-mid 60s with lower dew points.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Tuesday, June 10, 2014
  •

Tuesday was a muggy day, with some morning sprinkles. For some reason my county was on a flash flood watch all day - expires in about an hour - but we had no rain today.  It was certainly muggy enough to pour down today, and it did that in sections of the county to my south (Prince Georges County). Temps reached into the mid 80s after a muggy night with temps remaining above 70 for the first time this season.  Temps will probably not drop below 70 again tonight. Tomorrow is another very warm, muggy day with dew points around 70, with a 60 POP for showers/storms with possibly strong to severe storms in the afternoon and evening. Temps should reach up into the mid 80s once again. Thursday should be very similar to Wednesday, but even more likely to have numerous showers and storms, severe weather possible again, with muggy high temps in the mid 80s and lows around 70. Friday should see somewhat diminished chances of showers/storms (50 POP at this point) as the cold front should finally pass through in the evening, and drying us out for the weekend with little chances of rain and lowering dew points, with high temps in the low-mid 80s and lows in the 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Wednesday, June 11, 2014
  •

Wednesday was another muggy day, cloudy in the AM, partly cloudy in the PM with high temps in the mid 80s and actually the same value as yesterday. Clouding up towards evening with storms all around, building up from the south, west of this backdoor cold front to our east. Eventually the storms worked into my area, with very heavy rain, not much wind (here but there was elsewhere - with a few tornadoes in the region well out to the SW in VA and W VA), lots of lightning and thunder. Power went out twice during the storm, but thankfully only for a minute or so both times. Very thankful for that!  Light rain continued to fall off and on the rest of the evening and into the current early Thursday morning hours, quite light now.  Overnight we may get some more, if the areas to the south don't fall apart or go elsewhere. Temps cooled a bit with the storm and are now in the upper 60s. They probably will hold there till sunrise.  On Thursday another round similar to today, with high temps in the low-mid 80s and dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s.  More of heavy rain expected tomorrow, with less chances (but still possible) of the other aspects of severe weather that the region got more of in Wednesday.  More of the same on Friday but a bit less perhaps, with the cold front finally getting through late in the day, and late clearing and drying out starting.  The weekend should be warm and dry, with little to no chances for rain, highs in the upper 70s on Saturday and in the low 80s on Sunday. Lows in the upper 50s on Saturday night and low 60s on Sunday. This relatively comfortable period will unfortunately be short-lived, as a heat wave of sorts looks to commence in the new week, with high temps reaching into the 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday - if that happens, that will be my first 90 or greater days of the season. And there only will be isolated chances at showers/storms.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Thursday, June 12, 2014
  •
Thursday was yet another muggy day, remaining mostly cloudy all day today, which kept the high temperatures lower (mid 70s) after overnight lows in the upper 60s. Occasional light spotty drizzle/very light showers most of the day, but from 1600-1630 we got a heavy rain shower which was most all the rain we were to receive today. My wife said she didn't hear thunder, I was at the office when the heavy rain hit.  It has remained cloudy and muggy this evening, with temps still in the low 70s early this Friday morning. We probably won't sink much lower than 70 overnight, with slim chances for any showers overnight as the radar looks pretty clear as far as rain moving in to my location (except for a very light shower that has been falling over the past hour or so, since obs)  Friday should be mostly cloudy, muggy high temps in the low 80s, with an 80 POP for showers/storms, mostly in the afternoon and evening. We should clear out later on Friday evening, with lows falling into the 60s. Saturday and Sunday look to be mostly sunny and dry, with dew points lowering into the 50s or lower 60s, with highs on Saturday in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s, and highs on Sunday in the lower 80s and lows in the low 60s. Monday should be sunny and a bit warmer, with highs in the mid 80s. Thereafter Tuesday and Wednesday have a 40 POP for showers/storms, but perhaps a bit hotter, with high temps around 90, if not a bit above that level. Lows in the mid-upper 60s early next week.

At midnight obs the temp was 71.1°, Cloudy/light rain, Winds 3 ENE, Pressure at 29.84" and falling, humidity 97%, dew point of 70°.

Current conditions (0158) show 70.6°, Cloudy, Winds Calm, Pressure at 29.82" and falling, humidity 98%, dew point of 70°.

Radar is still showing widely scattered showers in the region, including the small one we just had here that sort of surprised me. Some action to the south over central VA may give our immediate area some light rain sometime overnight.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Friday, June 13, 2014
  •

Friday was yet another muggy day, remaining mostly cloudy all day, which once again kept the high temperatures lower (mid-upper 70s) after overnight lows in the mid 60s. We did get a bit of sun at times. Our rain showers came in the noon hour today, with a light shower falling with the frontal passage early this evening.  Quite intense briefly according to my data-logger. Once again a significant difference was noted between my VP2 gauge total daily amount and my LR gauge total daily amount as noted below.  I can't figure out what is causing the difference, especially with today's values, where I had more rain in the VP2 gauge than the LR gauge. Usually I have the reverse pattern, especially in heavy downpours. Tonight after the early evening rain shower, temperatures fell off slowly through the 60s and continue to do so with dew point temps also falling slowly off.  I suspect that I will be around 60 by sunrise. The weekend should feature mostly sunny skies, no chance of rain, and seasonable temps in the upper 70s to low 80s on Saturday and mid 80s on Sunday. Dew point temps should drop into the 50s if not the 40s.  Warmer temps will return with the new workweek, with highs getting up around the 90 mark and dew points creeping back into the 60s.  A 40 POP for showers/storms will return into the forecast on Tuesday and maintain through the rest of the week. Lows should be in the 60s to around 70.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Saturday, June 14, 2014
  •
Saturday was a beautiful sunny, cooler day, one with max temps only in the mid 70s after upper 70s were originally forecast. I will always like to live with that kind of error though. Temps this evening dropped off nicely with our low-mid 50s dew points, currently in the mid 50s early on this Father's Day Sunday morning. It should reach the low 50s by sunrise. Father's Day Sunday should be sunny, still dry, but warming up into the 80s. Lows Sunday night will probably be in the upper 50s to lower 60s, warming up a bit and starting our warming trend pattern for the coming week. Monday should be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s, then cloudy and 60s Monday night with a 30 POP for showers/storms. All day Tuesday will feature a continued 30 POP for showers/storms, with high temps around 90, lows in the 60s. Wednesday should see our high temps rise into the low 90s, with a 40 POP for showers/storms scattered about the region. This will mark our first real heat wave for the year, as we hit 90 for the first time this season.  Thursday  and Friday high temps should lower a bit into the mid-upper 80s, with a continued 40 POP for showers/storms. Lows should remain in the 60s to around 70.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Monday, June 16, 2014
  •

Monday was warmer and more humid, a rather uncomfortable day but it is going to get worse. The early morning hours weren't too bad actually, with dew points in the upper 50s to low 60s and temp down to 60. But we almost reached 90. An isolated thunderstorm cell brought some cloud to ground lightning that I observed while driving home from BWI airport. There was a severe thunderstorm warning posted briefly for the county, but the storm, which was severe to my north in Frederick County, weakened as it moved SE and over my immediate location. There was hail and brief heavy downpours 20 miles to my north. Tonight the temps have dropped through the 80s and 70s, but currently are still in the low 70s early this Tuesday morning.  The low by sunrise will probably be around 70. Tomorrow will probably give me my first 90 day of the season, reaching the low 90s, with a 30 POP for thunderstorms in the later parts of the afternoon and early evening. Dew points will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Lows on Tuesday night will probably be around 70, if not in the lower 70s. That can depend on whether or not we get a storm to cool us off. Wednesday will be a bit hotter, with highs in the mid 90s, and just an isolated chance at a shower/storm. Lows in the 70s Wednesday night with a 40 POP for showers/storms. On Thursday and Friday we should be a bit cooler, with highs around 90 on Thursday and mid 80s on Friday, and a better chance (50 POP Thursday, 40 POP on Friday) for showers/storms as a weak cold front slowly approaches our area. The weekend still looks unsettled, still very warm and humid, with continued rain chances (40-50 POP) as the front stalls out just south of our area with highs in the low- mid 80s.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Tuesday, June 17, 2014
  •

Tuesday was hotter and still humid - it was my first max temp day of 90 or more of the season. I just went under the 80 mark a bit after midnight. Probably won't get any lower than 74 of so by sunrise. We might see some storms/showers overnight- read more in the radar summary below. Only an outside chance (20 POP) for a stray shower or storm on Wednesday, with high temps in the mid 90s, depending on where you are. Better chances for showers/ storms later in the week and over the weekend- up to a 60 POP on Thursday, then mostly a 40-50 POP - high temps in the mid-upper 80s Friday through Sunday. Lows in the 70s the next two nights, then mid-upper 60s for lows thereafter.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Wednesday, June 18, 2014
  •

Wednesday was a bit hotter and humid - it was my second max temp day of 90 or more of the season and one degree warmer than yesterday.  Temps tonight slow to drop off, but storms around, have been having some thunder not too far away, but no rain.  Other areas of the region getting hammered with heavy rain, hail, high winds.  Overnight we probably will not drop too far temp wise- only down to about 75 like last night.  Tomorrow is another round, a 70 POP for showers/storms,much more likely, high temps around 90. Friday we should dry out with only a 30 POP, highs in the upper 80s. Lows remaining warm, in the 70s the next few days. Over the weekend a 40-50 POP on Saturday, a 30 POP for Sunday, but that is a changeable thing- conditions changing every time you look. Temps over the weekend a bit cooler, highs in the 80s, lows in the mid-upper 60s. More rain shower/storm chances early next week.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Thursday, June 19, 2014
  •

Thursday was cooler and partly cloudy, still humid but not as bad with the cooler temps. Rain showers and storms in the area, but for the most part missed my station, save for a light shower just before 5 PM right around the time of the cold frontal passage from the north. Temps this evening/early Friday morning have still been slow to drop through the 70s and into the upper 60s, with the dew point temps also falling off rather slowly. Probably will reach about 65 by sunrise Friday. Friday should continue to improve with dropping dew points and relatively pleasant temps in the low 80s. Clouds will be on the increase on Friday night, lows in the 60s, as the frontal boundary stalls out and small impulses start to travel along the front, giving us the likelihood of off and on showers (70 POP) on Saturday (and even overnight Friday) with an outside chance at a thundershower, with high temps in the mid-upper 70s. Sunday should be partly to mostly sunny with high temps in the low 80s and only a 30 POP for showers/storms in the afternoon.  Next week looks like somewhat of an increase in our rain shower/storm chances with temps remaining relatively moderate in the low-mid 80s as we enter into the summer season officially.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Wednesday, June 25, 2014
  •

Wednesday was quite warm and quite humid (dew points stayed above 70 most of the day) - sun at first but with a slow moving weak cold front moving in from the west, we had building cumulus clouds in the afternoon and scattered showers and storms in the evening, a later arrival than expected. I got my brief thundershower right around 9 PM, lasting only about 15-20 minutes with only brief heavy rain. Temps dropped from the low 80s into the mid 70s, and have been very slowly dropping ever since, still in the low 70s. Other areas got really hammered with torrential downpours, vivid lightning and brief gusty winds. Clear out there now, but still muggy with dew points still staying above 70. We probably won't go much below 70 by sunrise, if we do at all. Thursday and Friday should be sunny, with highs in the upper 80s on Thursday and mid 80s on Friday with little chance of rain. Over the weekend we should be in the low-mid 80s with a 30 POP for rain showers, and partly cloudy. Next week looks quite warm, with highs in the mid-upper 80s and a 40 POP for showers/storms each day as we head into July next Tuesday.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Thursday, June 26, 2014
  •

Thursday cleared out slowly, still humid, but not quite as humid as Wednesday. Temps still warm in the mid 80s, plenty of sun. Temps this evening have been dropping slowly through the 70s, and still remains above 70 early this Friday morning. We should make it down into the upper 60s by morning. Pretty seasonable conditions on Friday and through the weekend, with highs in the low-mid 80s and lows in the mid-upper 60s. A slight chance for a pop up shower or thundershower but really not that much of a chance. Hints are strong for next week to have a spell of low 90s temps, with lows around 70 as we head into July on Tuesday.  A bit greater chance at some showers/storms, but the typical summer time hit or miss chances, that for my location usually is a miss.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Friday, June 27, 2014

Friday was a partly cloudy, warm and humid day - summer is here for a spell, unfortunately.  It has been pretty dry here of late, though the lawns and gardens are still nice and green due to earlier in the year good rains.

Tonight temps have dropped into the mid 60s, with dew points in the low 60s. The weekend looks mostly sunny with highs in the low-mid 80s, lows in the 60s except for some clouds around on Sunday morning.  Next week, from Monday through Wednesday temps look to warm up into the upper 80s to around 90 with partly cloudy skies and a 40 POP for showers and storms scattered about. Lows should mostly be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Later in the week should turn sunny, and the outlook for the Fourth of July is sunny and warm , with highs in the low 80s.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Saturday, June 28, 2014
  •

Saturday was mostly sunny, warm, and gradually a bit less humid, as dew points for a time fell into the upper 50s, but later on in the afternoon rose again into the low-mid 60s.  Still not too bad a day.  And temperatures tonight have fallen through the 70s and into the upper 60s, and should bottom out in the mid 60s by sunrise.  We should see a repeat performance for the most part on Sunday, with sunny to partly cloudy skies, temps in the mid 80s and dew points creeping up into the mid 60s but still not too bad. The coming workweek, however, looks to be heating up into the 90 or above range by Tuesday, with that day and Wednesday being the hottest days of the week. Monday and Tuesday should have a 30-40 POP for showers/storms.  Might reach the mid 90s on Wednesday, but by then we should also have a 50 POP for showers/storms with a front approaching the area from the west. Lows early in the week will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. An area of showers off the Carolina coast right now is spinning up into a classic tropical LOW system, and stands a 40 POP for at least developing into a tropical depression by mid-week.  Thursday looks to be the day that if we were going to get anything out of this still developing system we would get it on that day. Right now there is a 40 POP for rain on Thursday, with high temps in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s. Right now it appears that the system should exit out to sea or further up into New England on Friday, giving us a sunny, nice day for the Fourth of July and for the entire holiday weekend. High temps on Friday and Saturday should be in the low-mid 80s with lows in the 60s and less humid dew points in the 50s or low 60s.

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Sunday, June 29, 2014
  •

Sunday was mostly sunny, warm, and still a bit less humid, as dew points were in the upper 50s to low 60s all day.  Still not too bad a day.  And temperatures tonight have only dropped some through the 70s, only about 74 right now in the early Monday morning hours. Probably won't reach much lower than the upper 60s by morning. Cloudy overnight, then mostly cloudy on Monday with highs in the upper 80s and a slight chance at a shower/storm (20 POP). Lows Monday night milder than they have been, in the upper 60s to low 70s, as they will be most of this week. Tuesday a 30 POP for showers and quite warm and humid, highs around 90. Wednesday should be up in the low 90s with a 50 POP for showers/storms, then on Thursday the best chance for storms/showers at a 60 POP with mostly cloudy skies and high temps in the upper 80s. If we are fortunate enough to get that front to clear to the east and south enough, and we get that possible tropical system out of here to the east and north, on Independence Day Friday we could become mostly sunny, drier with high temps around 80 or low 80s. Lows finally dropping into the low-mid 60s Friday night, then low-mid 80s and sunny over the Fourth of July weekend with lows mostly in the 60s.
