Norwich?

Unfortunately the Norwich coop records are very poor for snowfall so we can't use it....the nearest site that looks to have decent data is Colchester but they discontinued that site in 1973...but it did have a long record going back to the late 1800s...they averaged about 43" of snow during that period....but we should keep in mind their elevation was about 500 feet. So probably in the lower elevations around 100-200 feet the average was in the upper 30s.

Yea even in Norwich you have these huge differences from on the harbor to elevated hills. Colchester is a whole different place and far displaced from minimal BL conditions. I thought Norwich Public Utilities was good until I looked and saw all the missing data.

There's obviously a huge gradient once you get further away from the shoreline BL effects and into the hills...N Foster at 630 feet pretty close to you averages 59" per year.

yea about 15 more than me a year, There is a jackpot area in Voluntown , N Stonington closer to GON, interesting snow patterns, even places like Hopkinton RI have these jackpot areas close to the shore.
