I could see the typical early shrubs try to bloom, but this may not be good for vegetation when it gets below freezing again.

ski MRG
Would you be so kind as to take a picture of your yard currently and post it? If I get a chance after getting chores done I'll snap a fresh pic. Here's one I have from earlier in the Winter.

ski MRG
lol. Thanks Kevin, but I never left, very busy and just wanted to avoid drama. Phil is an excellent MET and is obviously a good person and liked by all, and for good reason, he is entitled to his opinion and I am sure many share his view. He did not say or do anything that I found offensive, and I do and will continue to value his thoughts on future weather events. End of story. 67 for a high here today. Enjoy this beautiful evening. Well, that was anti-climatic. Guess it's back to temp talk.
OKpowdah
The green is still all soaked here in Plymouth, but still put in a good 4 hours of frisbee today in front of the HUB. Unfortunately, with a lot of mud and patches of snow, the ladies haven't started lying out yet. All in good time
powderfreak
We are on the cusp of looking at a brown valley... however for now, the birds eye view remains mostly white (ish), haha. A few of the fields on the left side of the photo that got wind-swept all winter are brown now though.

Ice Warrior commander
The sun through the windows i guess. They were all closed when I left this AM. I have the windows open now though so it's down to 78F and dropping.
powderfreak
Why would it be 80? What made it warmer inside than out? Trying to understand that. Sun through windows and no ventilation. Close the windows and the doors and walk into a south facing room on a sunny day. Bet anything its warmer than it is outside.
radarman
Tell you this, first spring day sure brings out the best in female attire, holy heck. The depression that comes with the end of ski season is at least partially mitigated by living in a college town. I was Eeyore this morning, Tigger this afternoon. weatherwiz
I do not even see a mention of thunder here. Well I'm not sure really if eastern CT will really see anything. Any threat is west of the CT River Valley.
weatherMA
Huh? Yeah he was... Mid April in NJ to CT? That's not that far off from average anyway, especially inland toward NYC... Average leaf out onset from NYC to HFD is Julian Day 110 aka April 20 http://arnoldia.arbo...ticles/1976.pdf My bad I guess. I interpreted as CT/MA b/c Scooter has been making fun of people all week for calling for Leaf out in a few weeks. And he said next week not next month? So I don't where you're getting Mid April from. But whatever haha...this is a stupid argument.
