Remember that one very well. True blizzard conditions in April, historic in that.

These back to back storms were nice too...not nearly as cold as '82 but quite large for April

Our guy on the Upstate subforum who lives maybe 10 miles west of Roxbury only got 38 inches this winter I believe...and he gets upslope LES.

Chances are that if a person has a bad experience, they are most likely to write a review about than someone who had a good experience.

The only one that I know a lot about is SUNY Oswego, and they are your typical SUNY school(disorganized, but a decent education for your buck)

Lyndon State I have herd many bad reviews about.

Who doesn't love a great party school?

Partying (obviously) isn't something that should make or break your decision for a school but it is a huge part of college life and even high school...that's really how you learn and how you interact with many different people and it's a major part of the social aspect of your life.

When I attended LSC I was complete asocial...I didn't party, I didn;t do anything. I only hung out with one person (who still to this day is a great friend of mine) and all we did was sit in the computer lab whenever we didn't have class.

Actually...I hung out with a few other people but the social part of my life sucked...this is something I'm changing when I go to WCSU in the fall.

Yeah I like all 3.

Yeah...I met some great MET professors at Oswego though. And I think the met program is one of the best so I'm not to worried about that...more concerned about things to do since I'm not really one to party.

Exactly why I'm probably not going to choose Lyndon.

I am planning on going to SUNY Oswego in the fall, and I visited there a few weeks ago and I loved it, my cousin went there for teaching and she also loved it(except for the tons of snow).

He must be in Margrettville, they are usually a bit less than Roxbury.

It has been a real crappy year, no snowmobiling at all.

Broke my 100 inch snow cherry on those, very wet snow like 97. If Kevin was posting back then he would have tried to convince everyone after 96/97 that April was a winter month holy crap on the snow over.

I loved that winter of 81-82 in the HV. 87 inches at my place starting with the great Dec. storm. Just a great consistently cold and snowy winter. -26F in January! We did have a January thaw, but it made a great ice skating pond when it all refroze. We had a boom box out there blasting those 80's classics at the ice pond.

Money is pretty much determining where I am going.

But I am not that big of a party person either, I just never really cared for it.

Money is certainly huge...this is the reason why I am transferring to Western Conn. State instead of going back to LSC...for what I can do for 4-5 years at WCSU that would be the same as doing about 1.5 at LSC.

Cool, maybe see you there. If you meet with a professor, talk to Dr. Steiger, I talked to him when I visited the school in October and again a few weeks ago. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guy.

Same, I will try to meet with him when I visit up there again around April 1st.

SUNY Oswego will only cost me around 20,000 but if I was to go out of state it would be 40,000 and that is something that i just cannot afford to do, it is insane how expensive it is to go to college.

Originally Lyndon and Plymouth were cheaper for me because of New England discount or whatever, but I got the out of state housing scholarship for Oswego so now they're all around 20K.

Good for you!!

I wish I applied myself better in my first 3 years of HS, instead of being lazy.

Will so you got 11 inches in the 2-4 period ? Nice 34 for the month?

in 1996? No we got 23 for the month....the columns are a bit skewed on the data I posted...we got 5" in the April 7-8 storm and then 18" in the April 9-10 storm.
