ag3
I'll be surprised if ewr hits 70+ on a moderately strong southwest wind and 850 temps of 6-8 c 70+ in EWR, NYC and LGA. Amazing weather EWR 75 NYC 71...record 76 set in 1987... LGA 71 JFK 61 Everyone busted low so far except for uncle W. Great job so far!

Ericjcrash
topped 70, but hass gotten cloudy. Down to 68.
ag3
You think the trees have that much of an effect in urban areas? He means NYC. Central Park has no trees so its keeping up with LGA and EWR today. When the park is in full bloom, its almost always the lowest of the 3 stations.
forkyfork
12pm temps EWR 68 NYC 66 LGA 66 JFK 57 LGA and JFK have south winds now. And JFK is actually down one from the past hour. EWR winds still out the SW, should reach 70+, the next hour. having to forecast an exact temperature is difficult for jfk. the rapid temp rise in the morning is cut off at a certain point by the seabreeze, so you have two quickly changing variables

psv88
My #1 love is striped bass fishing. Then snow. Winter is over, so its time for the striped bass to show up and for me to start fishing! What kinda boat you got? I used to go for fluke alot in huntington bay area, also used to go out into the sound off of eaton's neck for stripers as well with some nice bunker bait...althogh sometimes some massive fluke would go after the bunker...good times... One plus is we usually won't roast in the summer when the rest of the city gets to 95-100+.

Weathergun
I thought JFK would do better today ( low 60s), with winds forecast out the SW. But the winds have been south for most of day: http://www.weather.g...story/KJFK.html

Isotherm
Stop by im off 520 Hey Tim, was down in Spring Lake all afternoon. Heck of a difference in temps. Walking around on the boardwalk had to be 57-58F and wind off the water. Back home my high is 71F thus far with a high gust of 35mph out of the SW. I guess you're gearing up for landscaping season now, as the snow plow continues to collect dust.
