CoastalWx
Yeah the 72 holes of golf I played a couple weeks ago in 50 and 60 weather was awful, just brutal, I should have stayed inside and wished it was snowing....LOL oh scooter, be happy you have seen snow 4 out of the last 6 days, and you will see some more sun and mon even if its light. I don't really golf, but certainly golf season isn't going to excite a mass of millions. Spring is horrible. The 1 or 2 c*ck tease days, followed by 3-4 days of drizzle are horrible. I'd much prefer a Mid Atlantic spring. But, March can be a crazy month. Maybe we'll get a cutoff..just enough to signal the sultan of sandbags. ski MRG
I dont have to say anything hippie boy, facts are facts, less than 50 inches of snow from nov 1st till march 3rd in your area is BEYOND pathetic, you should be ashamed Your words are hurtful. I may have to take a play from the MA playbook and whine to the moderators about your vicious trolling. You are a mean person. I will enjoy watching your snow melt over the next three weeks as I always do, you should be able to chip and pitch in the back yard by the 15th, better practice up..............courses wide open all winter, we can play a nice game of Scotch. Bring your wallet. I have no idea what 'scotch' is but I'm sure I'll beat you even though this will only be my fourth season. I'll have snow here for some time to come. Alpha5
Mid 30's here. Winter sucked, but i still think it beat 01-02 because of the October storm. Have 19", unless something else happens in march, looks like it will stay that way. Average is around 35".

dendrite
I hate to say it, but those 60s to near 70 next Wed-Fri on the Euro sound nice. I'd gladly take a topsy turvy March with days of well above normal temps and sun followed by cool downs and snow chances.
Ginx snewx
What a weenie MRG is..I mean how he's not in the running every year is beyond me 100% real in his passion for snow though. when we were at the top of Berkshire East he pointed out his glen to me and talked about why it is so special. I could see exactly what he was talking about and could definitively see the marked difference in snow total. You have to appreciate snow lovers who think positive. Sure its Spring now but its not a wall to wall torch for the future. The way some folks talked we would see 50-70's from March 1 until the end of March. It is pretty obvious we get torched next week but before that is pretty seasonable if not chilly.

But it's just that he won't admit that winter is just about over and that more than likely there is no more snow coming. He thinks he won;t get out of the 40's next week..when in fact he may crack 60. March overall is going to roast..There's nothing that suggests otherwise. A couple transient cooler days mixed in is normal

A couple transient cooler days mixed in is normal Possible roast overall per all guidance but pretty amazing how much cooler every single system has panned out versus long range lately. As far as winter being about over well that is obvious calendar wise but it can and will snow even in April at elevation and Latitude, lock that up. ORH_wxman
Nasty day out as freezing drizzle changes to cold rain...1.4" last night was a nice surprise though. This coming Monday could be the coldest departure day since January...possible double digits. Then the torch comes later in the week.

Logan11
Yeah and the first arctic airmass to get here with snow cover on the ground in ages will contribute to a daytime high well below normal. I hope I can hold enough snow (through today's 40's) to go snow shoeing for a few more days. I don't live in a woods where it never melts like Pete. Logan11
Just goes to show how ultra amplified it has to be to get a clipper to turn the corner and transform into a Nor'easter for those of us west of E. NE. Dec. 2000 was an example of how it could happen...very rare, but sweet when it does. Eastern NE and Maine, NS, etc. have it easier with their longitude. Man that clipper is so close, ugh.
