I would think the NAM would be one of the better models in sniffing that out? The simulated reflectivities have echoes all of the way NW to BAF-ASH even though the measurable QPF only makes it to the Cape.

ackwaves
I'm not sure. NAM still looks a bit too warm for Phil and I (especially with a wind off the GOM) unless we get some cooling from aloft with good rates. GFS whiffs.

ski MRG
Torch looks a little less awful Highs in the 50s? Nope. Looks like some single digits and highs AOB freezing for the next few days. No daisies growing here. They're crushed under snow. Today: A chance of rain, mainly before 10am. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy early, then gradual clearing, with a high near 43. Light wind becoming west between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. West wind between 9 and 15 mph. Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 36. West wind between 7 and 10 mph. Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. West wind between 10 and 14 mph. Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 25. West wind between 13 and 15 mph. Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 9. Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 32. Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 17.

ski MRG
You'll get more snow despite a few warm days here and there, don't worry. FYP. Thanks Scott. I think it's awesome that despite the fact you only see an occasional mangled flake down there you still cheer those of us in snowy climates on. I don't care if WxTrix says you're a sexist pig, you're alright in my book.

Scott , you do not like the pos PNA and the displacement of the Alaskan vortex to introduce colder or normal conditions to the East after the transient torch next week? Ens seem to indicate an inter-mountain West ridge with lower heights out east.
ski MRG
LOL, this is it for a while man. It's a slow death from here on out. Just saying. Meh, we'll get another good snowfall. the 00z Euro depicts a deep eastern trough late in the period. All of the snow we've had in recent weeks was originally progged to be cutters/rain. I'm optimistic Winter will linger here and especially NNE.

I think there will be one or two more events especially in NNE, but it looks meh for the next 2 weeks. Sometimes in March you can get fluke events that aren't modeled well. Yeah we could get another cold shot late next weekend into the following week, but not sure it will be as crazy as the euro op. It would be awesome to sneak a snow event in that cutoff type look, but I doubt it.
