Ski areas should be fine for the time being...its a lot more damaging to get a 55F rainstorm than a 55F day with dewpoints in the mid 20s...the prolonged lack of snow (except some brief upslope in the usual spots Friday) and gradual melting will probably hurt them for late season skiing in April though unless we get a nice cutoff in here at the end of March/early April.

Bank on it. I'm really sensing this will happen.

Yea up north they make so much snow its not an issue. I was there in 10 in a real torch with no winter snow and it was awesome.

Nice photos, Will...I'm always amazed how good your area is for being residential and suburban but always keeps snow around.

Yeah no worries for March but am concerned about how long the skiing will go in April. All joking aside, Kevins closed by March 22 is a bit premature but an earlier closing by mid April wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities as scheduled closing date is April 22 right now.

I wanted to throw my TV through the wall from ABC News this evening. Of course the warmer winter was blamed not only on climate change, but apparently we as humans too. So all weather from this point on is a result of AGW. The reported also was live in Denver and said "Even though it is snowing now, yesterday it was 70 degrees.." You fooking moron....it does that all the time there. It's maddening.

Yup indeed. 70 at 3 PM, 54 at bedtime, 28 at 6 AM with FZDZ and a few -SHSN. That tends to happen when the T/TD spread is like 70 degrees. 70 in March is common, and it's also our snowiest month, followed by April (but perhaps not this year with the continued AK icebox/CONUS torch).

Absolutely amazing how people's sense of time can get so warped though.
