Solar
I'll give you the basics of what happened as I don't know if "spilling the beans" compromises the integrity of a legal situation. Basically was told I could "get away with" having my dog in my apartment even though the lease said I couldn't. They called me out on it, so I sent him back home to my parents...but only after giving them a lot of trouble about the employee who told me I could "get away with it" because he was "small". while I wasn't home Apartment people came and stole his $30 leash and a couple of other things, then they took my neighbors $200 grill and a couple of other things. NOTHING whatsoever in the lease about not being able to have things outside, have read it over and over 15 times. Now they're trying to CHARGE US for the disposal of our stuff...yes, they threw out or stuff...without any warning or anything. They also come into my apartment often without telling us they're coming in, one day I was just out of the shower and some guy was standing in my bedroom...lol God that last sentence is going to get altered.. What are your goals? Break the lease, damages, etc?
Cold Miser
Reading comprehension FTL. It is the other kids grill, I wasn't home when they took MY stuff. This was the day after that they took his stuff while he was in Jamaica. I saw them going up onto his deck so I decided to film...they backed a truck right up past my door, wasn't hard to notice lol. My loss indeed. That's pretty awesome that you have them taking his sh*t. It's one of those times where I'd come home and see my sh*t missing and say, "Damn, I wish someone recorded this". That is cool that you have it. Did you show this to the kid who got his grill stolen?
Damage In Tolland
Nice to see the unabated torch some are trying to sell already showing signs of lameness. Cold nights, milder days , typical March weather. Good weather to get the sap flowing while holding the snow in the places it's put to use. Yep, we'll cruise along with some benign weather for a bit and then a nice Winter threat will appear out of the ether. Bank on it. Still no bet taking from Blizz because he knows the snow will fall. CapturedNature
Was surprised driving from Woodstock to Stafford, like Miser said there is still 2.5 inches along 197/171/190, then once you get into dowtown Stafford it drops off. Also, not much snow south of Putnam lol...I call that the "urban" valley effect. I live up the hill from downtown and while we may have some bare spots, I'm in that 2-3" zone. It's a pretty hard core snow unlike that powder we had in January.
Typhoon Tip
Just what I get in-house. The PNA is quite negative with a dip to -2SD near the 12th...rise to just over -1SD on the 16th and then back down to -1.5SD on the 20th. If the ensembles are right, looks like the high plains get some severe down the road. Yeah, that's what I thought - Intereing that GEFs is more like heading the other way - ha

powderfreak
North Woodstock near Union. State park Right next to my family's summer cottage in North Woodstock somewhere in the 800-1000ft range. Spent every summer growing up jumping off rope swings in Bigelow Hollow state park. Plenty of cool little islands and ponds. Learned to drive at 14 on all the dirt roads around there...love that area and visit at least a couple times per year.

I think southern Fairfield cty does ok even with the sea breeze...the winds will be WSW so there isn't much water to go over on that trajectory. 60-65F appears likely! ctsnowstorm628
Down to about 2-3" with some bare patches in exposed areas...still 4-5" in protected areas. Complete snow pack devastation tomorrow. Nice day today though...Dry and cool but not bad with the March sun. 35/3. Tomorrow could be one of those days we start out around 20F and make it all the way to the mid 50s? You'll make it to atleast 50F at 475ft...maybe 55F lol We are down to 5" in sunny spots and 10" in the shade. Lost 2" in the sun and 1" in the shade, and it only got to 32F today. Logan11
First thought is maybe they are trying to force him out ,,,make his life miserable enough that he'll ask out of the lease. Sounds sketchy as f*ck dude. I echo others on here regarding contacting the housing authority. Filing a police report was also a good call. They are definitely breaking the law. One of my favorite hikes it up around Breakneck Pond but lately I've been doing some exploring down in the Hull/Yale Forest. You'd swear you were 100 miles from anything in places. They are definitely breaking the law. Yep, gonna hit them with whatever we can. What are your goals? Break the lease, damages, etc? I just want to get the F out of here. I pay $900/mo for a one BR apartment and don't even feel comfortable in my own house. I look at my Guitars, Xbox, tv, and other expensive stuff and just think of what reasons theyll come up with to justify taking those. My loss indeed. That's pretty awesome that you have them taking his sh*t. It's one of those times where I'd come home and see my sh*t missing and say, "Damn, I wish someone recorded this". That is cool that you have it. Did you show this to the kid who got his grill stolen? Showed him, went to the UConn Police together, told us they need to talk to the Staties. Making an appt for tomorrow. First thought is maybe they are trying to force him out ,,,make his life miserable enough that he'll ask out of the lease. I mean if they want to break the law to try to "force us out" then that's them just being dumb as f...I asked if we could amicably get out of the lease and they said no, so now I'm taking it to the next level. I need out, I don't feel safe.
nzucker
I made it down to 5.5F at Hampshire Country School last night, but now temperatures have jumped into the mid 30s. Snowpack is still holding out well, but we'll lost most by Thursday night as the forecast has 52F tomorrow and 58F Thursday. The strong winds Thursday should also loosen up the snowpack fast. Logan11
32 here now ...might have edged a hair over freezing today. No affect on the frozen up snow that I can see. I'm sure tomorrow will break through to grass in some sunny areas with 50F forecast. Hey we got a week of snow cover in march ...better than nothing. Friday will be very cold here west of the valley ...I doubt we get out of the upper 20's and while the cold is pulling out by Saturday PM...I suspect that day also doesn't break 32. Yeah even staying below freezing all day, south facing hillsides got baked from the sun to the point of bare spots (in town not mtn) in areas under large evergreens where snow depth has been considerable less. You also have all the pine needles and debris that come off the trees all winter long absorbing solar and excellerating the melt.

Great news, anything to stay the inevitable 45 and rain on the coast that is sure to come. Also explains why Matt Noyes is saying most of March will be above normal to well above. That very well could be the case, just because it's above normal does not preclude cutoff clouds, drizzle and rain.
