A lot of back doorish-ness on the 0Z GFS deep into the run. The position of that trough in the Gulf of AK is kinda far west to favor ultra-mild air in SNE.

Not going to be as warm as H5 heights and 850temps would indicate with the high over New England. Torch will be west of the mountains. However there still won't be any snow.

7/4, There will be no embracing of the 'torch'. As with most "torches" here in New England it will under perform and all those looking to break out the speedos will be sorely disappointed. LOL at Amped andd his pathetic attempts to troll. Very poor effort.

What's your forecast for Thursday?

1,400ft for his area... Pete reads it like this. Just skips over all the 50F+ daytime highs.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. West wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind around 7 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain showers before 5am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

skiMRG will probably be warmer than some of us just outside NYC depending on which way the wind blows. A low of 35 with a chance of a rain or snow shower is not remarkable at 1300 ft that far inland in early March. It says more about the spring-like pattern we're in than anything else as that kind of forecast is a good month ahead of schedule.
