35 dropping quickly, hopefully get down into the upper teens tonight, one last hurrah (here).......not too many chances this winter to take deep breaths of bitter arctic cold, one thing I will certainly miss, but life continues onward.................

Time to morch on.

I agree 65 and sunny is going to blow Thursday, I wish it were 38 with drizzle, that would be morch better.

Oh c'mon. If we could have a nice DC Spring, then I'm all for it. Instead it's a c*ck tease of warmth, then blue ball drizzle into May. I despise those days. Not to mention that boring weather. The only thing interesting is the occasional Ginx cutoff low. Watch March and April torch, and then May becomes a disaster.

You have to admit last spring was awesome though.

I cannot agree with that. Played baseball for 16 years, and there's nothing better than a 60F sunny day with leaves budding while taking down your HS rivals. Nothing beats it.

Unless its 25F and dumping 3"/hr of course ;)

To each his own, but the most worthless time of year imo. I enjoy the warmth when it happens, but it doesn't last. If I could have Apr-Sep 77F and sunny...I would.

Yep easily the worst season of the year for weather here...esp in eastern New England. You get some nice days, but all too often there are horrific east winds with low clouds and drizzle.

To top it off, nothing remotely interesting to track in spring once climo becomes too strong against snow events. If you love interesting weather, then spring is a horrible season here...fall might be even worse but at least its much better for outdoor activities.

Fall can be boring, but it's the change of seasons which I love. The wx usually is nice, first crisp arrival of colder air..etc. Gets us in the mood for winter (except this year). I'm sure Joe and others think we're being negative, but Spring is like an 8-10 week tease of warm and cold combined with boredom.

I hear you. If its not dumping snow, I would love it to be 80F with a touch of humidity, or even warmer. Only thing I like about warmer and more humid days, is the amazing nights they have to offer. Nothing like walking out at midnight and having it be 70F.

I probably am a little cranky. I'm usually pretty level headed, but this winter left a foul taste in my mouth. This is as grouchy as you'll ever see me.

Spring is a terrible season here...I say it every year whether we get 100" of snow or 40".

It's funny...I find myself hating the hot weather more and more. I will say that it makes for nice nights maybe having some beers out on the waterfront (nice thing to have over here)..but I don't enjoy as much now, like I did when I was much younger. Of course if I had a pool or beachhouse, it would be different. Hot weather is good for a beach or pool party deal.

ITs a process, an evolution just like fall, a step up as opposed to step down, its a season thats the way I look at it. I just try and enjoy the ups and downs of each season the ebb and flow. After receiving 11.8 inches of snow, this disaster of a winter can not end quick enough, obviously I am also biased because of work. For people that have snow on the ground its much different, and I totally understand that and appreciate it.

Nothing worse than bare ground and upper 30s dark and dreary, so for me bring on the warmth, and the fact it will be light out till almost 8 pm on Sunday makes it even better.........hopefully winter 13' will bring snow, this year absolutely sucked, a year after the 2nd best winter of my life behind 95'96'.

It has been notee. Never seen this side of you on here. You need an April bookend

LOL, I know. I guess it's just disappointing to have a season like I just did..especially when you look forward to it since July. But, it makes you appreciate winters like last year more and more. I know we will always have dead ratters, but the way I got porked really irks me. 3.9" was my biggest storm and it was gone in about 2.5 days. Just awful. Ok, done venting. Literally everyone around me did better.

I hear ya, I started hating heat as soon as I moved inland. Double edge sword, goal is winter in the MTS, summer in SRI. Trying hard.

Hook line sinker

I'll keep all y'all updated on what my Davis says Thursday in Westbrook. Usually in a really good transition zone 3 miles off the coast in CT between the sea breeze and warm interior airmass.

Often GON can be 50F, BDL 70F and my house will be literally be smack dab in between at like 61F or something. That why I'm really looking at SST's 3-5F above average and looking to see that trend into the later spring and summer. Cool stuff.

Yeah I mean it's nice getting a seabreeze here and there. I try to make the best out of it, living near the water in the summer. Some good times to be had. My disdain for the heat stems from working all summer in it. I remember having to go home during a bad heatwave in July '99. I literally was seeing double. I was never one to complain or know when to stop which was stupid on my part..but I had to leave..lol.

RI is even more drastic due to open ocean, the terminal moraine which hugs the coast is often the demarcation line, you can go from 70 to 50 in a mile or less.
