An extremely violent storm just came over mby. I watched the storm on radar develop a hail signature as it was moving in and sure enough we got nailed! Strong sustained wind for a couple minutes with lots of small hail mixed in with the epic rains and lightning. I can't wait to look at my gauge as soon as it calms down. It was a thumping. The storm literally peaked right over mby, incredible.

lol, I think so man! I had over an inch when I came back in town from being gone for 8 days but that was a multiday total and barely over an inch. I have doubts that a full inch occurred in one night. I picked up a QUICK .80" when I looked at it during the lull. Now it's pouring again! This is what the street looks like in front of my house right now.

FFC confuses the heck out of me sometimes... This is from their afternoon discussion:

SUNDAY SHOULD SEE CLEARING AND A RETURN TO MORE APPROPRIATE

SEASONAL TEMPERATURES

Yet my forecast from Sunday through Friday is mid to upper 70s, with 50s at night. 5-10 degrees above normal. I guess with all the 80's we've had lately, FFC seems to think mid to upper 70s is normal.

Just had a nice storm come through. Saw a quick 1.0 to 1.5 inches of rain. Some strong winds here too and lots of lightining.

Here is the storm.

Now its gets issued when the storm is over. No surprise though because the winds did seem that strong too.

I had a bit of damage from the storms last night. The tops of two trees in my backyard were brought down in the winds. Also another tree in the front of the neighborhood was felled. A couple miles down the road two more trees knocked down. I knew it was a violent storm but it's a bit more damage than I thought. I'm also surprised FFC never issued any warning on that cell with the wind damage, hail, very heavy rains and lightning. I picked up 1.60" from that bad boy last night. It was quite a thumping mby received.
