ArmyGreens
Had a good soaker here in Marion, OH. Looking downstream wondering if we will see breaks in the clouds in C Ohio. Or not even need the sun due to the dynamics? 43F here and rising.
Dunkman
Had a good soaker here in Marion, OH. Looking downstream wondering if we will see breaks in the clouds in C Ohio. Or not even need the sun due to the dynamics? 43F here and rising. Vastly different region, but we just had a severe storm come through in NC with 52F temp, 42F DP and no sun, and we aren't even near the prime zone. I'd say you don't need much today given the dynamics.
blue60007
Pea sized hail started to cover the ground her in W laf. Second round brought another burst of pea size hail. North end of that line looks to hit here, about all she wrote for LAF. Looking scary further east and south though...

I'm not so sure about that... things seem to be ramping up to the north... Also, there's a tornado warning for the counties just north of Indy. OceanStWx
I suspect this stuff is going to die down pretty fast once it hits Ohio. On a statewide scale maybe, but that boundary is surging north quickly. I think the southwestern part of the state is going to see some nasty stuff. buckeye
i'm interested as hell to see what ends up happening around here. A bust or if we end up with a tornado or two around the central OH area later. If we do get severe, it'll be one of the strangest severe wx days I've ever seen unfold. When I was driving on i-70 heading west this morning it was hazy sunshine, 40 degrees, and yet I could see thundercloud tops way off in the western sky, it looked like something you'd see on a warm humid summer morning. Then the temp started to climb rapidly and we got up to low 50's within an hour or two. Than it started raining and temps dropped to the mid 40s just after noon. Now temps are rising again, it's still raining and now we have the sound of thunder.
