Snowless in Carrollton
Silly post. Moderate risk into the NW half of ga now with respectable threats for hail and wind fo a lot of ga and the carolinas is decent enough and isn't your typical mid south severe weather event decaying into nothing as it hits ga Where do you see a moderate risk for the NW half of GA ? What i'm seeing only shows a moderate risk from Carrollton to the TN border.

Lookout
OK, we are going to attempt to move this mainside, large outbreak likely covering several different regions, and right now we have people discussing the same information in multiple places on the board. Link is below, I am waiting to here back from staff if we are going to merge the threads, or just continue to direct traffic to the thread in the main forum. I know this is kind of confusing, but we do not want people talking about the same thing in different places, best resource is provided by keeping everything consolidated and this is an attempt to do that. Thank you. http://www.americanw...ntic-carolinas/ Personally, i want to see what our group thinks about it before we do it. Don't want to do something that our group is mostly opposed to. I'm ok with it as long as people generally have no problem with it. So Over the next few hours, everyone please give your opinion on this. Thanks. Silly post. Last time I checked, that's the northwest half, if not all of northwest ga...including parts of far north central ga/ne ga. And it's interesting you simply ignored everything else. Frankly you are twisting the facts, being rather silly, and unnecessarily pessimistic without much proof. People are tired of this weenism of late in the SE forum and so am I. WXinCanton
I kinda like the thread here. It's easier for me to get updated info for my area with out having to dig through all the other stuff happening with such a large event. Just my 0.02. Brick Tamland
I like it here, too, but there is more action in the other thread. It's too quiet here.

I went to the SPC website and clicked on counties so I could see which counties were highlighted in red, and it shows a moderate risk from Carrollton to the TN border, which is roughly the NW 1/3 of GA. The NW half of GA would be from Lagrange northward. It looks like the moderate risk goes from Carrollton to Atlanta to Cumming and points north and west. You are really starting to get on my nerves...sitting here trying to split hairs over 1/3rd vs 1/2...even though you are absolutely wrong. If you go to this link, and click on counties at the bottom, you will see the moderate risk goes from southern carrell county, to the fulton/dekalb county border, to extreme hall county, to the rabun/towns county border. That IS northwest Ga...unless you have some completely different definition of it. Regardless, Enough of this nonsense. http://www.spc.noaa....r.php?sector=
